DISGRACED wellness blogger Belle Gibson has finally shown her face in public, just days after her 60 Minutes interview with Tara Brown made waves across the country.

Gibson was subject to the wrath of the public when she failed to admit that she lied about having brain cancer and curing it naturally on Sunday night’s program. She told Brown she was a victim and that she didn’t intentionally deceive anyone.
“I’m not trying to get away with anything,” Gibson said. “I’ve not been intentionally untruthful. I’ve been completely open when speaking about what was my reality and what is my reality now.”

Bolded part really made me laugh. Mostly because it is such a succinct statement on the nature of female interpretations regarding reality.

The italic part made me laugh even more. "I AM THE VICTIM OF ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE I EXPLOITED FOR MONEY"

Gibson has been in hiding since April when it was revealed that revealed she’d lied about having cancer. She has deleted The Whole Pantry app, Pan Macmillan pulled her cookbook and her social media accounts are all wiped clean.

“You don’t have a good record on telling the truth, do you?” Brown put to her.

“He went to my home and did a series of tests. There was a machine with lights on the front. There are two metal pads, one below the chair and one behind your back, measuring frequencies and then he said to me that I had a stage four brain tumour and that I had four months to live.

“At the time, I believed I was having radio therapy. When he gave me medication, I was told it was oral chemotherapy and I believed it.”

Brown put to Gibson that she had a history of claiming dramatic health problems and pointed out to her that she had previously said that in one year, 2009, she had three heart operations, two cardiac arrests, that she had died on the operating table and a stroke.

She said she uncovered the truth about her situation and was about to tell the media herself. The date she had picked for her own announcement, coincidentally, had been 10 days after the media broke the story about her deceptions.

“I’m not trying to get away with anything. I’m not trying to smooth over anything. It’s not easy for me to be here,” Gibson said.

...And for possibly the greatest line of the interview

“Once I figured out where I stood and I’d received the definitive ‘you don’t have cancer’ ... it was traumatising.”

Brown shot back: “Traumatising that you don’t have cancer?”

Gibson replied: “I was feeling a huge amount of grief. That I had been lied to and that I had been taken for a ride.”

Gibson was slammed on social media after the interview, leading some psychologists to raise concerns about her mental wellbeing.

Perhaps they should have been a little more concerned prior to that..

The 23-year-old founder of The Whole Pantry app and cookbook made more than $1 million in profits from her business. In April, it was revealed that she failed to donate $300,000 from the sales of the app to at least five charities, as promised.

But wait, here's the punchline... there was justice for all

Victoria Police later said it would not pursue criminal charges against her.

So not only did this woman make over $1m by lying to millions of people and essentially stealing from them, fail to make any of the donations she'd promised to make, market herself as a reincarnation of Jesus and then claim that none of this is her fault, and that she is merely a victim of this entire situation, but she's a solid WNB/10.
