Stumbled upon this today, has anyone ever had experience using this ?

Would it be cheaper to buy a prepaid SIM card upon arrival?

Always cheaper to buy a local sim on arrival.

I doubt it. You're paying roaming charges. Buy a local SIM after comparing various companies online.

I've heard good things about Truphone:

Never been outside of the country so can't speak to how well it works but their rates seem as good as Lycamobile.

I Still believe on getting a sim on arrival.
Do a quick search before you go to the country and find out what they use.

You can usually buy Sims in the grocery stores.

Or go to one of the company stores and hope their English is decent enough.

I have done this on the first or second day in countries and been fine.
Since the stores are often in the mall, you can use the time to game also.

Hell. If you pipeline a girl to meet up with you soon after arrival or pull a girl from the mall, she can help you.
