Rambling (daygame)

This is something I'd like to improve, but I'm not totally sure about how to go about doing it. It's one thing to approach and get a positive reception but another to actually continue a conversation to a point where a girl actually asks a personal question.

For me, it seems a bit awkward to continue chattering away toward someone, and it doesn't help that I'm on the introverted side anyway. Typically, my conversations happen in segments with consistent pauses (assuming the girl is receptive to my approach anyway). I'm at a stage where I'm trying to develop my daygame habits, so I don't expect quick success. What have experienced daygamers here done in the past to improve their fortunes?

Go out with your buddy and make him pick for you some of the girls' attributes, then have you talk to him (ideally, working, as time goes by, on vocal presentation and some basic body language such as hands gesticulation) about it/them for no less than a minute.

For example, if you see a girl wearing a blue dress and makes you talk about that dress, make some verbalized associations: blue dress -> how it compliments her complexion -> how blue is in vogue (or not) -> why people prefer some colors but not others -> how people who were blue are usually introvert/extrovert -> how products for men but not women are often in blue -> etc.

Once you're done with 100 mental exercises like those, it will come naturally to talk right-off-the-bat about any kind of stuff. It doesn't have to be cogent, as long as the girl can relate to it and comment, you'll be fine.
