Dolezal said she received a key to the post office box when she became president of the NAACP earlier this year. Asked about the possibility that she had put the package there herself, she said, “That’s such bullshit. What mother would terrorize her own children?”

She said she was not questioned about that possibility by police, and was bothered by initial media reports about the package. “Nobody’s ever come out and said (they suspect me) directly, but I am bothered by the subtle implication,” she said.

Neumaier said he was suspicious of several incidents Dolezal reported in Coeur d’Alene, including her discovery of a swastika on the door of the Human Rights Education Institute when the organization’s security camera was “mysteriously turned off.”

“None of them passed the smell test,” he said.

It's easy to read it that way, but I honestly suspect, based on 44 years of experience at observing women, that, left to their own devices, women naturally gravitate towards martyrdom.

I actually know a girl who is white (of dutch ancestry) from South Africa who immigrated to America and became a US citizen. I used to call her African American for shits and giggles- she was a pretty cool chick too. This lady in this post is just a little nutty , this will all blow over if she lets it.

Gladwell's family is from Jamaica, where he would be considered 100% black.

I grew up socializing regularly with a Jamaican family that had immigrated to Canada. The dad let me read the first chapter of his autobiography. In it, he described his father not letting him play with this other kid, because the other kid was black.

I was confused, because he himself was black as night. I asked him about it and he explained that because his hair was straight he was considered white, whereas a person with completely pale white skin, but curly hair would be consider black in Jamaica and subsequently discriminated against.
