An unrelated sidenote to the trainwreck she turned into, but this is a genuinely awesome cover she did of "Jolene" (helped by a great backing band naturally). Not a fan of her or her music but she does have a great voice. Pity she turned out the way she did in the last few years.

I think she naturally has a great folk/ country voice and has probably been singing classic covers since she was a child. She knows how to sing them.

It's a shame, really. I can't think of one current popular female country artist that uses lyrics that don't sound bitchy or girl power related.
