I'm leaving to Taiwan this coming June 17th on an academic trip to the National Tsing Hua university, I'll be staying around 3 weeks at Taiwan.

I searched for threads on the Travel seaction regarding Taiwan and found mixed comments and reviews which didn't quite make it up for me.

Would love info on playa's who have been there, wether its about daygame, nightgame, logistics, sightseing, stuff to do, weather, etc. Anything is welcomed.

Im planning on laying a full trip report on what I experienced and managed to do during my 3 week stay, hopefully I can do some good damage and return with great stories

How far will you be staying from Taipei?

daygame probably not so great there, try some single internet sites, and some good clubs or bars. If you're there only 3 weeks u'll probably have ur best bet at a bar or club. Actually if ur in class a group with other students or whatever they are a good target too obviously.

A friend who lives in Taipei says it takes around 2 hours to get from Hsinchu to Taipei by train.

I started pipelining on CS already, so far no responses but I'm gonna keep trying. I have a female friend from highschool who lives there that I want to smash, we'll see.

Hit up Taiwan for a few days last year. Couple key points:

1. Everyone is super nice but English is very limited. If you're not Asian but you Mandarin is on point, you can kill it out there.

t2. From what I saw, shit is a little dead outside of he big nights (Thur/Fri/Sat). Unlike Bkk, HK, etc it's gonna be hard to party on a Sunday night.

3. Tons of great shit to see. Toroko National Park is legit. Hot Springs at Wulai are dope. Tapei is a cool city

They are not used to it but unfortunately they don't seem to like it. Asians don't trust people they don't know, and they don't really like people they don't know. Everyone's bf/gf is either a classmate or coworker. Or if they hit 30 their parents will just pick someone for them. Old classmate is ur best bet, the english is good at the airport and at high end hotels that is about it. In my experience at a bar or club they are more open to being approached. You can get numbers during the day but it seems to stop there (they'll give there number up easily).

@moorland20: Thanks for your key points. Sadly I don't know any Mandarin so I guess my game will be limited Hopefully I get lucky and find english-speaking chicks.

I don't mind not partying on a Sunday night, I rarely do so even over here. Thurs/Fri/Sat sound really good to me.

@redneckpunk: What was your approach regarding daygame? Did you went direct game or indirect? From your post it seems I should go indirect game all the way, full situational, which I find very easy to create on the campus, being a foreigner and all.

If the there are very few english speaking chicks at the bars/clubs then nightgame is going to be a hell lot harder, shit.

By the way, I recieved today a few responses from the girls im pipelining. Got a few good responses but I'm still trying to seal the deal and looking for more prospects on CS.

most of my experience comes from China, only spent a day or so in Taiwan. Taiwanese are more sophisticated and a little more westernized than the mainlanders but general rules will still appy. There are many working in the mainland so i've dealt with them. I went indirect, but i lived there so I didn't have a time limit I could take the time to get them comfortable with me, that takes longer than in the west generally speaking. If you go to a western style bar there, the girls will speak some english.

Very few people I know ever got laid from daygame there. The exception seems to be meeting someone on a train or bus, for some reason they are more open during this time.

Best bets: bars, clubs, chicks in your class, if there is a girl in charge of taking ya'll around the school or introducing the school to you, she might be down. If they say they have a bf it doesn't matter, u can still bang them.

1. Your going to have a hard time if your Mandarin isn't on point as stated above
2. Asian cultures do not drink as heavily as westerners (can't stomach as much LQ)
3. Although gaming girls isn't the norm. doesn't make it that much easier


My suggestions are making friends before you go VIA skype or a language exchange website TRUST me you will build trust in a week or 2. The best opportunity to get some notches are by taking interest in hobbies, or making friends right at the university. Although Taiwan governs their country differently from China, their values are pretty similar, and one of those values is sex before marriage. (Not to ruin your hopes of smeezing around)

Indirect game is the way to go based of my experience and shared thoughts from my TW female friends.

I was there for a few weeks earlier this year and banged a couple of local girls but got them from online game.

Did not really encounter much language problems using just English personally.

I thought the only girl he banged from day game was Japanese, and all the rest of his lays came from online and the bars/clubs? Seems he is finding plenty of birds that speak decent English so maybe it won't be an issue. My Mandarin is decent so i didn't try too much in English.

Thanks for even more input guys.

My pipelining has gotten better results these last few days, I got a few girls lined up and excited to give me a tour, show me around and 'have a good time', all of these speak english of course, and all this pipelining has been through Couch Surfing (definitely recommend it!).

Lumiere, can you give me a link for that blog? I don't know how latinstylez is but I would love to read it.
