-Get a pitcher. The sizes vary from place to place, but you can get at least 3 pints for the price of 1.5-2 individual ones. You can rotate rounds with your bros so that you don't look like a cheapskate.
-Find the cheap liquor with the sleek design. Where I'm at we have this stuff call Denaka that's advertised as being from Denmark, has a rounded triangular bottle design, and sells for $9 a fifth.

Good thread. I am going to try out getting a bacardi, downing it in a cab over to the club/lounge. Drinks are costing me a fortune.

Any hangover remedies? [Image: biggrin.gif]

Excedrin extra strength. Take two when you go to bed, make sure its just before you pass out or the caffeine in them will keep you up, and then take two the next morning. This plus staying well hydrated will keep you crystal clear the day after.

My dad told me when his friends were poor college students, at the clubs, one guy would ask a girl to dance who had bought a drink. Then the other guy would drink the girls drink while she was away dancing with his friend.

My hangover "cure" - not a cure but it sure helps a lot - when I get home I eat a little food, take 2 ibuprofens and a multi-vitamin with a glass of water.

Does anyone have a link for a cheap flask that will fit in jean pockets? I bought one but its way to big to carry unless I put it in a jacket. I don't know the sizes they come in but 5 shots should be good.

If you have a friend who is a girl, she can sneak a big bottle or couple of mixed drinks in her purse. We poured straight up whiskey into a water bottle and snuck it into an expensive club once. She just poured the whiskey into our glasses as they went down. She poured too much into mine though cuz she wanted to fuck me lol Girls can even sneak beer bottles out of clubs this way lmao

There are $2 disposable pocket shots at liquor stores these days. I filled up me and my friends pockets and took them to a few of the expensive festivals in my hometown where 1 bud light is $5. I am def investing in a flask though as my hometown just got a college football team and budlight is $7-10 at these games. I cant stand crappy beer it taste like piss.

I live in the south where drinks are cheap and still we have to find ways to save. I cant imaging ever paying $20 for a mixed drink. Drinking is too much an expensive hobby not to scrimp here and there.

Hmm didnt know that, though I'm curious what the timeframe for taking it is for there to be complications. Usually I take it 2-3 hours after I've stopped drinking right before I crash out

Learn to mix drinks, it’s a valuable skill you’ll be able to use the rest of your life.

For someone on a budget, what would be one or two go-to drinks to have ready at the house to drink with the lady companion?

Girls almost universally like wine. When I have a lady guest over, I ask her right away: "Would you like red or white wine?". Don't ask her if she wants to drink, assume she wants to drink to bat down any resistance to loosening up.

A good red wine is Mollydooker The Boxer ($22), a Shiraz. High-alcohol content, tastes very good, and there's a neat trick to serving it called the Mollydooker Shake. Otherwise I recommend any new-world red (Napa, Malbec, Chile, Australia, South Africa) as they're more fruit-forward.

A good white wine is Leitz Dragonstone (Drachenstein) Riesling ($17). Extremely tasty white wine, and I have yet to meet a girl who doesn't enjoy Riesling. If Dragonstone is out, look for another Leitz (Eins Zwei Dry is also good). Keep this in the fridge at all times.

Marry the wine with food if possible. Something about tasty food and good wine makes Cindy a naughty girl.

If she's not into wine, store a vodka bottle in the freezer and a can of lychees in the cabinet. Just shake vodka, lychee syrup from can and some ice in a shaker until frosty, then dump in martini glass. Adourn with a few lychees. Enjoy!

If you really want, you can get shit-faced for a weekend on $8. Here's how:

1. Buy Rich & Rare whiskey. This is a great value. It's a decent whiskey that goes down very well and won't make you vomit. It's about $8 for a fifth.
2. Acquire flask
3. Bring liquor-laden flask with you to venues
4. Ask for diet coke or something similar at the bar. In my area, fountain drinks are free at the bar
5. Go to bathroom stall
6. Poor flask liquor into diet coke

Wait for it...

7. $$$

It's not really the alcohol that packs the pounds on. It's the greasy food you eat in conjunction with alcohol consumption. Carbohydrates and alcohol macronutrients (the nutritional components of beer) are poor precursors for lipogensis (fat storage), but since alcohol's metabolized form (acetate) is toxic, your body prioritizes its elimination from your body over metabolizing fats. That means all the fat you consume gets stored at a higher frequency.

Drink whatever you want a couple nights a week but just watch what you're eating while you drink.

if your drinking at home for low cost stick with hard liquor unless you are a serious beer lover and can justify getting a keg.(they go bad in a few days)

i have a lot of love for smirnoff vodka its triple distilled and especially when mixed you get few who can tell the difference between a more higher grade like absolute or belvedere
