RVF blocked on Whole Foods wifi

Eating/daygaming at my local Whole Foods, bust out my phone to get my RDA of RVF. It's blocked! I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Not going to boycott WF though, it's too good of a hunting ground.

Has anyone else noticed establishments that block RVF? I'm guessing it's just due to forum posts that may be NSFW rather than the un-PC content but with a SJW Mecca like WF I'm not so sure.

"Okay (and I'm laughing now, because this is so funny), so we're A) not supposed to give you flowers, B) pay you compliments, or C) look at you. Anything else? Because I'm struggling to figure out the reason why after hearing that, I'm feeling like I'd rather get fucked in the ass by a Cape Buffalo than ever have to sit through dinner with you. Maybe you can figure it out for me. When you do, let me know. I'll be at Natasha's house."

Is it blocked on 3g/4g? On my phone network the articles on ROK are blocked but the homepage isn't. For some reason it's classified as 18 + and I've never got round to unblocking it as it requires a £1 payment on a credit card. I do not have a credit card and debit cards do not work. The phone store will not let me unblock either. I can get round it via a proxy site but that seems like a lot of effort to read an article.

I am sure it is not blocked consciously by the companies but through their firewall or DNS provider. RVF is probably categotried as "adult" or some other category that isn't "family friendly".

I'm guessing a lot of these masterlists are compiled from a variety of sources and just slapped haphazardly into the censor bin. Isn't RVF flagged on the SPLC as a "hate" site. They probably go off lists like that when determining what is proper.

I don't think there's a large network of SJWs working at these places it's most likely some twerp in a network admin office just copy and pasting everything.

When you really think about it America isn't all that better than mainland China when it comes to the great firewall. It's just that what mainstream America chooses to censor varies somewhat.

That's exactly what it is.

The DNS's are the ones making the block lists, of course it's probably ran and websites are judged by SJW's.

Who even uses wifi on their phone anymore ? LTE is faster than that.

Or it might be because some threads contain nudes (NSFW) and RVF gets classified as a porn/adult site.

When I was flying on Jetblue, their wifi also blocked RvF.

The solution? Use this link instead:

RoK is a lot more difficult since you have to add the "s" to each link when visiting.

This is what happened. Whole Foods was suffering from a massive amount Internet traffic to only one website, which was overwhelming them with fees for additional broadband coverage.

The number of RVF lurkers studying our posts and viewing Tuthmosis' GIFs, while trying to run daytime approaches was just too much for the Whole Foods' WIFI budget and they decided that it more economical to simply block the one website that was causing all the trouble, than to spend more money on a service could better serve the needs of the housewives browsing Facebook while ACTUALLY purchasing products.

I'm totally bewildered that in a free society, grown adults aren't able to access adult content.

We've allowed corporations to usurp the authority of the government and the church and in doing so, we screwed ourselves. You could always leave the church and you could always challenge the government on legal grounds.

But with corporations, you have little recourse. This is why the SJW crowd worships at the alter of people like the Apple CEO. They're getting their power from the corporations.

Now I get why the SJW crowd is so quick to say "The First Amendment only applies when it comes to the government! Corporations can do what they want!" They love the tyranny.

Who are corporations to tell adults what is "hate/discrimination" and BLOCK it? It's one thing to notify people about content -- which I think is fine. But banning content is un-American and if people can't see that, they don't deserve citizenship. This will come back to screw them in the end, when one day they find the content they wanted has been banned.

That said, I can't believe no one has come up with an app or some code that serves as a workaround. Can't Roosh embed some kind of code in this forum that fools the censors (sort of a reverse rendition of those ISP blockers).

What about an alternative network you can access? If one little program by a college kid that allowed people to swap MP3s could wreck the music industry in a few years, someone somewhere should be able to crack this.

More than ever, I'm glad I made the choice to not have a smart phone and stick with a secure landline instead. I might be in 2005, but back then we had more freedom, so it's a good place to be.

Another forum I use has two or three different homepage addresses to get around the banned lists.

It is banned at a lot of places and is a car forum!

When I was in High School, I used to use a "proxy" to access websites that were banned by the school firewall/"parental block".

DOBA, you are absolutely right about the banning of content being wrong, but when it is banned, proxies should still work. There are hundreds of proxies out there, just type it into google, and then type in the name of the website you want to access onto the proxy page.

This is a random example of a proxy site:

RVF is blocked on a public wi-fi system I sometimes use. If I had to guess I think it is due to some of the visual and pictorial content as opposed to the ideological stance of the forum.

RVF is on the BlueCoat filter list as adult, that's why. Many companies use their blocklist including mine.

This really is infuriating. I had the same experience once at an airport. I tried to log into the forum while waiting for a flight and found out that the site was blocked. Absolutely ridiculous. Strangely, ROK was not blocked, but the forum was. Makes no sense at all.
The problem is that there are so many wusses, idiots, and chickenshits out there; all it takes is for one worthless sack of shit to complain, and everyone loses their minds.
