Friend has mad oneitis, relationship advice

He's been seeing this girl for 8 months and they're driving each other crazy. For example he wants monogamy but he got frustrated at her slutty past so he slept with another girl and convinced himself it was okay.
They're always fighting for one reason or another, they almost broke up once. They're also seeing a counselor for personality issues. There is a couple more fucked up things I'm leaving out.
Do these relationships last, if so how long? Can he be helped? Bare in mind, he's got 1 year of game experience and about 15 lays.
Edit- They also proclaim they love each other and want to get married down the future, I'm not making this up.

Honestly man,
nothing you can do. I have a friend who is a serial dater, as in he will instantly begin dating a girl and instantly go exclusive and there is nothing else for him. I've never seen him begin dating a girl and go "y'know, she's a little nuts. I'm going to look elsewhere."
Some guys just don't realize their own power as the gatekeeper of a relationship and pressure myself into the first relationship that they're able to find.
I will be checking my PMs weekly, so you can catch me there. I will not be posting.

You can show him the way and if he's willing to listen then help him more otherwise leave him to his fate. Don't be too concerned if he doesn't listen as there is nothing you can do. On many instances I have repeatedly tried to help loser/inexperienced friends and have always wasted my time doing so - they're not willing to follow your advice and it just frustrates you. Some people just need harsh lessons of life inorder to understand how things really work.

Thanks guys, I'll do what I can. I already did save his ass from a baby. Knocked up the girl but I vehemently told him having a kid is the fucking end. He did appreciate it after, and dodged a bullet.
