Also I do have customers that will ask me my name and make small talk with, I just don't know how to gauge if there is interest there or if it's just me. Lol I wish I was in high school, grafuating college next year with my bachelors. Trying to find an internship, for my degree right now.
Back to the topic. The manager doesn't care him and I talk about the girls there all the time. I could understan if I did it while we were busy but while we're not then I have a decent shot. And I usually try to chase women that look older than me or around my age so I can usually decipher the age of a girl through her level of maturity. I don't want to have to change jobs. I was just looking for advice on closing girls as a cashier. I understand there are better places to work ( I used to work at a gym) which lead to better options but I believe that even working as a cashier at a restaurant I can get lays.

Depends on how you carry yourself. Being a cashier at a fastfood joint is not the best of jobs, girls can see you a certain way.
You can make up for all of this through confidence. Think about how a confident person would act, how they would carry themselves, how you would want to talk.. and start being that person. 24hrs a day you are trying to be the person you want to be..consciously making all your decisions. It might take a week or a few months but changing your habits and how you act will one day become you. Then you won't be posting on here how to pickup girls, you'll be posting a guide or datasheet how you do do it.

I appreciate your perspective. I'm going to assume most guys here have more professional or just better jobs.
Me personally, I'm not a loser per say, just kinda socially retarded and a bit of a recluse. The only reason I even took the job at this fast food/casual dining restaurant is because of the pay increase. I make 4$ over min. wage (not impressive, but its something).
But I do have a great personality and a decent physique (use to work at a gym) just not the confidence to back it all up.

You are only this if you believe you are. First thing is change your perception of yourself. Instead of 'socially retarded', you are shy but holding back or hiding your confidence, or think of another way to describe yourself. The words you use to describe yourself carry weight and will affect how you feel. And if you don't create a good perception of yourself, your environment will create it for you and it might not be good.
I should not have even mentioned your job because honestly this is only something that is going to hold you back and is irrelevant.
Whenever you describe yourself in a negative way from now on, catch yourself doing it and just reword in a different way so its positive. Do this for one week and you will see massive differences in how you feel.

I like WIA's advice. Just keep in mind the longer u can keep a chick there talking, the more ur chances for a number/insta date close. Speaking of insta dates, maybe you can slither yourself into an instadate i.e. (shop with her) depending when ur shift is over.
OP I suggest you use those slow times as an opportunity to game girls at the cash register. If you get an opportunity you could ask the manager for a break if it stays slow through the interaction. Then instadate the girl. If there isn't enough time tell her to write her number on a napkin or receipt and get back at her later.
If she's a regular at the mall you could expand the gaming over multiple interactions. You could tease her about always being at the mall and then take it from there. The ideal would always be immediately though. Strike while the iron is hot.
