A friend of mine is going to London in a couple of months and asked me if I know some place he could stay. Can you recommend any accomodation for 4 weeks in LDN? He´s limited to 800pounds for those 4 weeks...

By far the best option would be to sort out a sublet somewhere. Check out gumtree.com - there are tons of options there. Should be able to get something decent for that price, especially in Shoreditch or Bethnal Green. Much better for logistics having your own place. He wouldn't be able to swing a good hotel for that price, leaving only hostels which fuck up your logistics in a big way.

If he doesn't want to organise the sublet in advance he could always stay at the Generator Hostel for the first few nights and then switch to sublet.

Studying abroad in London - Advice wanted!

What's up guys,

I am a college student who will be studying abroad in London, England next semester (January-May). I'll be leaving in 3 weeks and I will be in Europe for nearly 5 months taking 4 classes 2 days a week. So, I will have a lot of free time. I have two goals in mind: 1) get laid as much as possible, 2) see as much of Europe as I can. While I want to visit every major country, I will be spending most of my time in London. I want to go all out this semester so for those who have been there and can give me advice I would love to hear what you guys think. From what I've read on here, it's hard to hook up with British women but London is such a big city and fuck it's Europe so I will not allow myself to make excuses for not hooking up with a woman.

One advantage I do have is that I have a friend who is European and I will be traveling with him throughout Europe on numerous trips. He knows multiple languages and will be a great wing man...our first trip looks like St. Patty's Day in Dublin, Ireland so I am hoping it will be filled with crazyness. I have facebook - don't use it as much as I used to, but I have joined a couple of London clubbing groups b/c I know clubbing is big and how hard it is to get into the top clubs.

Anything guys...comments, suggestions, cities I should hit up for most action, or advice. Pumped for the trip!

Clubbing isn't exactly cheap. Let me breakdown the costs and chances of success in some of the clubs I've been to:

1. Ministry of Sound (Elephant Castle): Expensive as hell, cover is usually 10 pounds on weekdays and upto 20 pounds on weekends. A beer will cost you 6 pounds. You will see lots of 8s in this club, and most importantly it's not a sausage fest. I went on Friday night, the club wasn't packed and I was able to take a Russian chick back to my hotel for the bang.

Pros: Massive club, hot chicks
Cons: Expensive, shady area

Overall: Recommended

2. Fabric (Chancery Lane) : 2nd best nightclub in the world according to DJ mag, but according to me it sucks. You can get a beer for less than 5 pounds. I've only been to Fabric once, on NYE 2011 at around 4.30 am, had to pay 15 pounds to get in. This place was a sausage fest, and I didn't even see any 7s.

Pros: Music
Cons: Expensive, sausage fest

3. Metra (Leicester sq) : This little club called Metra is 1/4 the size of Fabric and 1/8 the size of MOS. You have to pay around 15 pounds to get in. Drinks are about the same price as MOS. I went on a Saturday night, the club was packed, and again it was a sausage fest. There were a couple of 7s, but most chicks were around the 4-5 range.

Overall : Avoid

I've seen way hotter chicks in London subway stations than any place else.
