Banking With Affiliate Marketing - Guide Part One

It is. Now here's the thing: whatever activity you look in, it is incredibly easy to find tips for beginners and basic explanation. Just Google it (even the first result seem to be pretty good, and much more detailed than his post). This information is typically available for free, and very easy to find, and therefore it carries very little value - if any value at all. However as soon as you start digging into specific details, things become much less obvious, and this kind of advice is more valuable, and rarely available.

Now, while I may have overreacted, the reason for my sharp comment was exactly that: the author acted like he provided very valuable advice (while promoting his affiliate ID), while in fact the information he provided was pretty generic. The only specific part was the suggested networks to use, but since he used his affiliate ID in the links, it is questionable now whether those networks are indeed really good, or the author just wanted to make money on new signups and the network itself is questionable.

Yes, affiliate marketing works, and yes, there are people making major money from it. Not 150K a day, of course, but enough for good living. However this is NOT easy business, it is not for anyone, and you need much more than just computer with Internet connection. It is like every other business - it takes time, commitment, effort and some luck, and like every other business, most people who'd try it will fail. As VP already said, the profit margins are very low there (and apparently they tend to get even lower as competition increases), and to make large figures, you need a huge operating budget. In short, this is not an easy job, nor a way to make quick bucks.

[/align]Kanye,
Don't worry or bother about the naysers and bean counters in here, your message is not directed toward them anyways. I'm sure there are others, more open minded than these negative corporate drones who would really appreciate your posts. Think for instance of the young buck straight out of college or high school with plenty of dreams, desire and will to work hard at something that will set him free as opposed to joining the corporate drones in the rat race. These are the kind of guys who need to know of other viable and lucrative alternatives. So do like me and others in here, simply ignore and skip past those beancounters/naysayers/haters of corporate drones.

Looking forward to that part II of your post man.

Cheers.

This is affiliate marketing:
http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financial...AJOH01.htm

"The Federal Trade Commission has charged five people with defrauding customers out of nearly $500 million through weight loss programs, colon cancer cleansing and penny auctions."

Yes, the big numbers being tossed around are very real.

Great article, Kanye. One quick question, is Google Adsense comparable to the different AM providers? Are there certain situations where it is more useful to use Adsense versus an AM provider?
