I was in Pula the summer of 2014 and met some people I am friends with till this day. That was when I fell in love with Croatia.
I am not so interested in the Ibiza/Thailand/Miami beach type scene that the island of Zrce and the more popular croatian beaches are turning into. It's basically spring break with 24-28yr olds tanned violet 6 pack lads from Blackpool & Essex and the reality TV wannabe donald-trump-coloured instagram hoes from around Europe. The local Croatians in that environment are only waitress or service workers who are disgusted by the appaling attitude of western tourists. There however is a small percentage of stunning croatian birds who go there to party and specifically hook up with a foreigner preferably who will fund her stay. Croatian mainstream beaches and cities in the summer can be as expensive as any party place in Europe and locals cant afford it. Most of them make money by renting out their houses on airbnb and setting up seasonal restaurants in their garden.
Pula however although quite expensive is still more accesible to the locals and people from all over the Balkans gather there for the 2 festivals Seasplash and Outlook . Seasplash is a small Ska, Reggae, Dub festival taking place the 2nd/3rd week of July and tickets are about 40 euros per person for 3 days. It takes place on the stunning fort of Punta Christo which is partially roofless due to being bombed during World War I and now they use those parts as open air night Club rooms and play different genres of music in 4 different halls.
Outlook is a huge mainstream festival which attracts Western Europeans in huge numbers so a week before or after the Festival is a good time to keep amused by the mix of incoming:parting tourists and locals.
Pula is 40 degrees in peak summer and during the day people are either by the beach or sleeping. Party starts when sun sets at 10pm and ends at 8am in the morning. The beaches are a mix of festival goers and family tourists mostly from France or Netherlands. I have a friend from that region who spends his summer banging Dutch milfs sometimes infront of their husband. He says after a few Rakijas which the tourists never know how to handle the husband doses off and the horny wife is at his mercy.
The ideal game would be to rent an apartment in Pula for 2 weeks and then discover the rest of Croatia on short holidays. Bale which is a few minutes drive from Pula hosts an amazing Jazz Festival and is a town one definitely should visit.

This is one of the most culture laden historic country in Europe and the last few years with so many TV shows including Game of Thrones and movies being shot the whole of Europe is catching up on its potential. Istra has more elderly tourists and locals who are more receptive and its one of the cheaper beach regions. If you go around the time of Seasplash you will meet girls from Bosnia, Montenegro, Slovenia and all of the Balkans who are DTF . I would suggest you venture out further and check out the music festival taking place the week after Seasplash in Tolmin, Slovenia called MetalDays (You can read my datsheet on here

I am attaching some pics here below. I had a one night stand in Pula with stunning Croatian journalist bird from Bale and we stayed friends and she has beach bungalows that her family rents out and she has contacts within the media, music, event industry. So if you need any info/help etc pm me.
PS: If you are dark skinned or black all of Croatia is a certified pussy paradise as I state in my Zagreb datsheet.
