Pope Francis: Listen to women, men are too machista

Quote:Quote:

Pope Francis has called on men to listen to women as they have “much to tell us." Women are able to ask questions that men can’t grasp, the pontiff told an audience in the Philippines, where his comments drew instant applause.

Seems like those of you that are Catholic Americans need to tone it down and respect American women more. You are too machista, know your place. [/irony]

It isn't a bad idea for men within the Catholic church to start speaking with women more. Maybe then they will stop fucking little boys so often.

If the Vatican's goal was to hasten the demise of their religion, they picked the perfect pope.

He's right, they do have a lot to tell us. Unfortunately 99% of it is mindless chicken clucking.

The current pope is a Jesuit Masonic shill and is totally on-board with the current feminism propaganda. I guess it was directed at Philippino women and their more masculine men - things should be similar to the West there.

Catholics worldwide must feel horible to be betrayed from above, altrough there aren't many left who understand they have been betrayed.

Quote:Quote:

He added that it was a 12-year-old girl who posed the toughest question to him. Glyzelle Palomar, who was living on the streets before being taken in by a church charity, broke into tears when she was posing her question.

"Many children are abandoned by their parents. Many children get involved in drugs and prostitution. Why does God allow these things to happen to us? The children are not guilty of anything,"

Umm sorry, but this is a very common question that catholics, christians and theists in general get asked literally everyday by both men and women. The form of this question varies but the question "Why does God allows the suffering of innocent" surfaces all the time every day for two millenia. And christians have come up with answers to this question every day for two millenia. If the guy is a fucking POPE - a cleric with good theological education and a leader of the biggest, oldest and best organized theist organization in the world and he still cannot answer this question that many of his comrdes in faith have answered daily - then his incompetence must be astronomical. That is amount of incompetence too big to be plausible and I see it as a conscious betrayal.

Quote:Quote:

Women are able to ask questions that men can’t grasp, the pontiff told an audience in the Philippines, where his comments drew instant applause.

The opposite is clearly true. The problem with women is that questions concerning their sufferings and their children are actually the only ones they can grasp. It's men who can ask questions that women can't grasp and have never truly asked like:

Why is there something rather than nothing?
Can you really experience anything objectively?
What is the best moral system?
Do we have free will?
How much control do you really have over yourself?
What is the truth?
What is reality?

The truth is that females only care and ask about themselves and their offspring being healthy, clothed, housed, fed and entertained. There is nothing a woman can grasp that a man cannot.

Quote:Quote:

At times we men are too 'machista', the Argentinian pontiff said using word for the term for extreme male chauvinism in his native Spanish.

Hmm sorry dude but you must be living in past the problem with the modern male is that he cannot hurt a fly and is ashamed of his masculinity and wants to sell his birthright for a cup of soup.

Men do listen to women. They either do three things;

- Listen and become confused
- Ignore her
- Listen and ignore her point anyway

Like Mage touched on above, there was some debate a few months back in philosophical circles whether there has ever been an original philosophical female thinker throughout history.

The consensus? They narrowed it down to a single woman, and even she was heavily debated because there were accusations her ideas were actually her husband's.

Pope Forgives Molested Children

Quote:Quote:

VATICAN CITY—Calling forgiveness "one of the highest virtues taught to us by Jesus," Pope John Paul II issued a papal decree Monday absolving priest-molested children of all sin.

"Though grave and terrible sins have been committed, our Lord teaches us to turn the other cheek and forgive those who sin against us," said the pope, reading a prepared statement from a balcony overlooking St. Peter's Square. "That is why, despite the terrible wrongs they have committed, the church must move on and forgive these children for their misdeeds."

"As Jesus said, 'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,'" the pope continued. "We must send a clear message to these hundreds—perhaps thousands—of children whose sinful ways have tempted so many of the church's servants into lustful violation of their holy vows of celibacy. The church forgives them for their transgressions and looks upon them not with intolerance, but compassion."

The papal announcement arrives in response to public outcry over the sex scandal sweeping the Catholic church in the U.S. Though official church doctrine condemns such transgressions, the pope's decision, observers say, is intended to demonstrate the church's willingness to put the scandal behind it and restore the public trust.

"By forgiving these children, primarily churchgoing boys between the ages of 5 and 15, the pope has shown true Christian kindness," said Father Thomas O'Malley, a member of the New York archdiocese and one of the many priests implicated in charges of sexual activity with minors. "The pope is saying that, in their own way, these sinful youths are victims, too. Through their absolution, he sends the important message that empathy, contrary to what naysayers and critics in the secular media would have us believe, does have a place in modern Catholicism."

For Catholics waiting for the pope to break his long silence on the scandal, the sweeping, decisive nature of his response has come as welcome relief.

"The pope has shown great love and compassion, much as Jesus did when he ministered to tax collectors and whores," said Cardinal Bernard Law of Boston. "Despite all they have done to jeopardize the careers of so many priests—to say nothing of imperiling the priests' immortal souls—the church embraces these underaged seducers and tempters with open arms. The pope's words and actions prove that the church is willing to put an end to the suffering and let the healing begin."

The mass absolution is being hailed by church scholars as one of the Vatican's most progressive acts since the Second Vatican Council in 1962.

"One cannot overstate the break from tradition this represents," said lay administrator Bruce McConnachie of the Los Angeles archdiocese. "After all, under church doctrine, the act of seducing a priest is considered a grave sin against the laws of God, punishable by condemnation to Hell for all eternity. But the pope has put all of that aside. He has let bygones be bygones. For this, all of those misbehaving, sexy little guys should feel grateful. By showing such willingness to forgive and forget, the pope has sent a clear message: Even though these boys have done much to undermine and subvert the priestly vows of celibacy, they are still deserving of God's love."

Margaret Leahy, 39, a Somerville, MA, homemaker and mother of one of the alleged seducers, expressed relief over the pope's announcement.

"For months, I feared that my boy—and the dozens of others who committed sinful acts with Father Halloran before he was moved to the safety of another parish to protect him from further temptation at their pre-pubescent hands—was going to Hell for what he'd done," Leahy said. "It's the worst feeling a mother can know. But thanks to the forgiveness of the pope, my long nightmare is finally over. He was just a boy of 8 at the time. He didn't know any better. Thank you, your Holiness, for giving my poor little Timothy a second chance at redemption."

However, not everyone within the Catholic church is so supportive of the pope's actions.

"What kind of a message is the pope sending today's children? That it's okay to seduce priests?" said one concerned Baltimore priest who asked to remain anonymous due to a pending court case. "With the pope's announcement, the church is essentially telling its youngest members, 'Go ahead and let Father So-And-So reach into your swim trunks at the church-youth-group pool party. It's okay, the pope will forgive you in the end.' Without fear of eternal damnation, how are these provocative young lotharios ever going to learn?"

"As the creep of secular humanism continues to chip away at our most sacred institutions, the Vatican has established a dangerous precedent," the priest continued. "We look to the church's authority for justice and righteousness, not politically convenient solutions that maintain the status quo. These nubile sinners should be held accountable for the damage they've done."

You know you have a terrible Pope when the godless baby killers on the left admire him. I can't stand this Pope. He is always spouting off some bullshit about multiculturalism, feminism, or socialism (the 3 key tenets of any modern left-wing movement).

I feel if the church became more traditional that it would actually grow the church. Now they are just pandering to people who don't want their religion in order to gain their approval.

The whole point of religion is asset and pussy control. Keeping your women and children in line through guilt, shame and promise of heaven if they behave and the wrath of God if they don't. The concept of God and lord is metaphorical. It means anyone with power over you. To a family the man is the lord. To men their boss at work is the lord. Property owners are landlords. It's basically one big pyramid scheme that we call society.

I can't think of a better example -- or metaphor -- of what happens when you listen to women than this minute-long scene out of the 1983 Dustin Hoffman movie "Tootsie."

"Tootsie" is a seriously Blue Pill feminist movie, but this is some Red Pill wisdom they dropped in. Not surprisingly the only scene that's stayed with me over the years.

You are quite right, but I would also like to add that proper religion teaches that natural laws are above even kings. So no matter how high you climb, you must not get prideful and disregard them for if not other people then the cosmic order of things will still say above you. Even if you stand un the summit of the human pyramid, there are still rules for you to observe and God is the metaphor for them.

Now our prideful western civilization has reached the state when it feels high enough to disregard truth in favour of feelings. it already starts so suffer from his and it gets worse and will get worse by each day but the proud are blind to their demise.

This addition is very important because without it Francis is doing the right thing. He has acknowledged that feminism is ruling now and is trying to prove that church is not an obsolete tool of social control. Only the masters have changed and instead of noble men the feminists, populists, SJW and gays are the new masters. Men are to be the new slaves to be brainwashed into obediance. Francis is trying to prove that church can be relevant in this to the new masters and can spread tolerance to these new master groups instead of shame and scorn. It's only if we beleive that the superiority of men over women and heterosexual over any other sexual is a natural constant, independant from human action and that transgression of this universal rule brings demese of even the mightiest nations - only then he is wrong and we are right to scorn him.

I agree wholeheartedly with the Pope, but he's not taking it far enough.

He needs to resign immediately and open up the spot for a woman.

Oh sorry I missed the philosophical female thinker part, I thought it was just original ideas in general. But in that case, maybe Ayn Rand would count?

If you have the link, please point me to that thread so I can continue there instead of being offtopic here.
