Vimeo censors Krauser

I thought of posting this on one of the Nick Krauser threads, but I think it deserves it's own thread. Basically, Vimeo is booting Krauser's material off their platform because it's PUA-related. According to Krauser, to get him off, they specifically changed their rules to ban PUA material.

Daygame Overkill has moved
January 13, 2015
blockedurl

On the day that Daygame Overkill was released I got an email from Vimeo to inform me that it had been unpublished (i.e. removed). They gave me the reason as, simply, “PUA”. So I wrote them an email contesting it because I hadn’t actually breached any of their guidelines. After a short email exchange with the moderation team they determined that it was a “close call” and their guidelines would now be updated to specifically include “PUA” as a theme that is unwelcome on their platform. Okay, that’s their choice. The moderation team were actually quite polite and responsive and we agreed a grace period where Overkill would remain live and taking orders until I set up a new platform. They have also agreed to aid the transition by giving all existing customers instructions on how to contact me to transfer their login from Vimeo to the new platform Kajabi.

That transition begins today. Vimeo have unpublished Overkill. Existing customers can continue to watch it by logging into Vimeo and browsing to their Library. Follow the instructions in the notification mail and – importantly – keep your proof of purchase. The daygameoverkill.com domain now directs to the Kajabi platform login page.

New customers can no longer purchase Overkill from Vimeo. Instead, you can buy from Kajabi using this sales page. It’s the same price and same content except for two things:

The Kajabi videos are not full HD. They are 720p rather than the 1080p on Vimeo.
As a sweetener, I’ve added a new “Directors Cut” section that has the full unedited versions of all ten infields. This extra content will help those of you who have absorbed all my analysis and now just want to zone in on the infields and draw their own additional conclusions about what’s happening.

My apologies for the fanny-on. It’s just an occupational risk when you swallow the red pill and teach men how to improve their sex lives. The whole of the blue pill world is hostile.

As far as I'm concerned, this confirms one thing: game works. And folks are afraid. [Image: angel.gif]

What's next?

Will they remove all fitness content because it creates body image issues?

All videos of women giving domestic tips because it promotes gender stereotypes?

All videos of men and women getting married because it is offensive to non cis-gendered persons?

I had high hopes for the relatively small media platforms being resistant to censorship and their leadership containing less white knights than huge ones like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. But I was wrong.

Vimeo is owned by IAC, a large, public corporation. Potentially relatedly, IAC also owns Match, OkCupid and Tinder.

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

That's a pretty clear conflict - why pay Match when you can go out and daygame?

Honestly, it's hard to fault them if they were as polite as Krauser made them sound. It's unfortunate in this day & age that this is how the shit rolls, but Krauser is a hot potato and at the end of the day these sites and businesses won't cater to feminists/SJW's because they agree with their beliefs, but because it's what's most viable for them.

Krauser could do the whole:

DAYGAME SECRETS SO POWERFUL WOMEN WANT IT BANNED

THIS IS THE PRODUCT SO POWERFUL THAT DATING SITES TRIED TO DESTROY IT

THE SECRETS OF ONE MAN THAT THE MEDIA DONT WANT YOU TO KNOW

marketing.

I honestly don't get why PUA stuff is such a 'hot potato'. I mean, aren't there thousands of PUA videos on YouTube?
Maybe this is some subtle, indirect cultural blowback from the whole Julien RSD in Japan controversy?

Krauser actually has integrity, whereas most of these guys with the flashy marketing don't.

I get all sorts of cheesy email marketing from the PUA "systems" guys. "Watch this video and get laid tonight" kinds of stuff. The video is nothing more than a long commercial that pitches an expensive PUA system.

PUA is fast becoming anathema to mainstream websites. Ironically, that will make it more successful. As an aside, Krauser is a stand-up guy who eschews the cheesy marketing. Good for him.

I noticed this (I bought Daygame Overkill). It disappeared for a bit but is now back online. So I made sure to download each video just in case it gets taken down again.

"After a short email exchange with the moderation team they determined that it was a “close call” and their guidelines would now be updated to specifically include “PUA” as a theme that is unwelcome on their platform."

PUA is unwelcome, huh? That's interesting because Vimeo has no problem allowing this instructional blow job video, starring some gay crossdressers:
http://vimeo.com/10296138

It also allows pointers by someone called "Lily Love Coach" about how to have anal sex:
http://vimeo.com/38898289

And then there's British "adult entertainer" Angelica England who speaks in-depth on her "anal exploits" (her words) in a video titled "Anal Sex vs. Moronic Muslims."
http://vimeo.com/50052342

So here is what I have so far after only about three minutes of research:
Allowed: Anal sex, oral sex, anti-Muslim bigotry*
Not allowed: How to meet a girl

Everyone got that? Glad I've been able to immortalize their hypocrisy online for all eternity. But feel free, anyone, to take this to Return of Kings and make a real news story of their double standards.

*Worth noting: If I started a thread on here called "Moronic Muslims" I'd probably get a one-week suspension or permanent ban. Who is really spreading hatred?

***
Addendum! Just found on Vimeo! A man exposing himself urinating in a video titled "Urinating as a Child." Is Vimeo allowing its clients to attract potential fans of kiddie porn with a title like that?
http://vimeo.com/115227475

Addendum #2: Vimeo has a channel called "The Art of Nakedness." Unlike DailyMotion, there is no warning for kids ages 18 and younger not to click on it. So I guess we can deduce that Vimeo's goal is to pervert children:

Believe me, I'm more than a little annoyed about this situation. I do recommend existing customers of Overkill download the HD files while it's available. I can't guarantee the new platform will get full HD by the time they make the transition.

Mind you, if HD is that important, you're better off watching Avatar [Image: wink.gif]

Indeed it is, good sleuthing.

However, Vimeo are not using taxpayer's money. I respect the rights of private businesses to conduct themselves how they wish, even when it is against my interests and when I think their standards are hypocritical. Therefore I just moved platform without making a big deal of it.

they certainly have a right to do whatever they want as a private company. doesn't mean they shouldn't be called out for a blatant double standard, that involves suppression of something innocuous. there's currently a global debate about free speech, religion, Islam, terrorism, etc. - and Vimeo is focusing on taking down a guy who's talking about chatting up girls? come on now.

Try Wistia, they are a good video hosting company that I've used. They don't have the restrictions Vimeo has.

I won't make an event out of it if you're not going to. But...you have my thoughts. Feel free to use 'em if you need a counter-argument against them or anyone who behaves like them.

Out in the real world, refusing service based on belief systems is called discrimination. I wonder if someone challenged them legally if this would fall under "discrimination based on creed," which can be any loosely-defined set of beliefs.

I'm probably reaching with that. But still I'm putting this out here for informational purposes only, since the future of the manosphere might be in a courtroom someday. Definition of creed:

I agree with your argument, I just have a very high regard for the rights of private businesses to operate without molestation from government or people who want to co-opt them to run how they say they ought to (i.e. what SJWs do).

I agree with Krauser in principle, but in reality businesses are only allowed to do this to straight white males. If they did this with trans people, gays, women, etc. the courts would step in, just like they did to this guy who refused to bake a wedding cake for some homosexuals due to his faith: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/06/0...ing-after/

In the Krauser videos I've watched, he seems very amiable, gentle and sensitive. In the good sense, I know people Beta alarms are on "Stun" around here lol.

It's pretty mystifying why his material got flagged, until you visualize the bitchy girl in the office, the fat one who never gets hit on complaining.

"I'm sick of all these PUA videos. They should be banned."

Everyone turns around, the women perky and sensitive, the guys knowing they have lost this battle before it's fought.

The girls: ""Yes, you're right."

The guys: Stonefaced.

Manager girl to Joe the tech guy who knows how all this works and does the heavy lifting,"You should make a ban on all those PUA videos and post it."

Joe the tech guy who knows how it all works. (Stonefaced.) "OK."

Joe doesn't get laid that night

Manager girl bangs her bartender/biker alpha.

He borrows money before he leaves that night.

And the ocean rolled on like it did 5000 years ago.
