Sometimes you have to suffer through this kind of blue pill pain before you can swallow down the red pill. Also good music to put on when a girl first comes over. When she mentions it I get a faraway look and say "I don't want to talk about it" takes down the guard before an escalation.

The Mexicans 'Maná' used to be quite blue pill, but in the last times they have transitioned to something much more interesting. Check out the story of this video, no need to understand Spanish:

You got bread pudding (ass) how I like it, stretched out with stretch marks, like from a bakery

Juan Luis Guerra.

Palomita blanca - Juan Luis Guerra

Merengue

Want some red pill? Let's (roughly) translate "Periódico de ayer."

Your love is yesterday's newspaper, that no one yearns to read.
Sensational when released in the morning, by noon story confirmed, forgotten by evening.
...
(chorus) Why read, yesterday's news?(chorus)
News that everyone knows, why would I want to read?
...
Leave my side, I don't even want to see you.
Why are you crying? Your soul is made of paper.
Because paper takes everything, that's how I treated you.
Analyze your history, and you will understand.

For me, Buena Vista Social Club never gets old and is very accessible.

I've found that Rioplatense electrotango is great mood music for having a woman over. Gotan Project and my personal favorite Bajofondo - they are great live as well.

Bomba Estéreo is a quality Colombian outfit with some really danceable tracks.

I'll have to get back to this thread for more stuff from Spain, but for those who are into punk, this short Siniestro Total album might be the Spanish punk album por excelencia:

A man who procrastinates in his choosing will inevitably have his choice made for him by circumstance.

A true friend is the most precious of all possessions and the one we take the least thought about acquiring.
