For the unaware, precision haircuts are haircuts where clippers, thinning and layering scissors are NOT used. I.e only one pair of scissors are used for the haircut.
Why are clippers, thinning and layering scissors bad? Because when your hair grows out, it grows out unevenly and out of shape.
Where do I get these precision haircuts? Vidal sasson definitely has it. If you can't afford to go to vidal sasson or there isn't one where you live, do a google search.
Fair warning, it will be expensive, but you will notice a huge difference in the appearence of your hair.

My two cents...
I've been cutting my own hair since I was about 14-15 years old. No one's touched it besides me since then.
It may not work for everyone, but the styles I sport can all be done using various guards on clippers and some trimming with scissors and an extra mirror. Takes a while to get good at it, but I like the freedom to do it whenever I want, make it look exactly how I want, and save the time, money, and effort of going to a barber or salon.

I thought this was how must hair cutters cut hair? All my life whenever I got a haircut the stylist only used scissors unless I was going for a fade.
now they're calling this a "precision haircut"
It seems that we're renaming all these old norms into modern fancy names so the people doing them feel extra important (unnecessarily so).
Like how people aren't called salesmen anymore but "sales & marketing associate" or some other highfalutin title

I used to go to this older Italian barber in Providence who didn't even use scissors. Everything was with a straight-edge.

Been having this done since I first had a proper precision haircut in Germany back in 2000.
It doesn't have to be more expensive. Chick who cuts my hair now charges $20 and I tip her $10. She could easily charge $50.
