"The reason the girls want to marry a pastor is that if you marry the boss, it automatically makes you boss of all the other women. "

Situational Alpha status and yes - in a church venue that essentially makes a wife of the pastor the situational church queen. Rabbis are highly popular for that very same reason.

Still - only a few levels above the barkeeper and bouncer in a nightclub. Women are such fickle hypergamous creatures, that any situational Alpha status is enough to get in their panties.

Not to be bringing up old shit,

The significant others of alphas typically enjoy
- his money
- his fame
- his association with her and rise in status

Rarely do they get to exert his *power*.

A bouncer or a bartender has status.
So does a dj.
So does the captain of football team
The professional athlete
The wife of the CEO

In a lot of cases, the lady of the house can order around his underlings.

But rarely does that "consort" status means that she can order around other WOMEN.

And that's one of the interesting things about the world of women.

The shoes, the purse, where her children go to school - all that stuff is how they "flex" on each other.

From outside Christian establishments looking in, I have seen a worrying trend of women becoming 'pastors' just because they married one.

This phenomenon isn't unlike the new role of the 'First Lady' of the US from the Clinton era onwards.

This is concerning even to many people inside the "Christian establishment."
