Anyone here play either? I've been obsessed with the former for the last few months and the latter for the last few hours. I know there are some gamers here, if you have either post or pm your friend code/nintendo id.

I have almost all of the characters. Just got jigglypuff. I play it like once a week now, but when I first got the game it was daily. It plays really well on the 3ds which was surprising since their is no joystick. At times the camera zooms out and it hard to see the characters. Also the main game where you fight the giant hand boss is not in the large smash button, but hidden in the extras. Strange layout.

Not sure about the wii u, don't have one yet. Can you not play the characters unless you have a amiibo toy? Those suckers are 13 bucks each! Sounds gimmicky.

a wii is a great tool for a player

I highly recommend having one of these in your apartment. It's a super fun and easy way to entertain a girl, get her active, get her competing, start touching her, etc. Combine it with drinking, like the loser of a match has to take a shot, and its golden

I like the two player sports games. Wii Tennis is the only video game that has actually gotten me laid.

I quit videogames years ago, but the flat I'm in now has a big plasma that I haven't touched in the three months I've lived here. I plan to get an hdmi cable for my laptop to stream movies...but I've also toyed with the idea of picking up a wii for purposes you've mentioned...hmmm...

Amiibos are actually just advanced AI tools. I got 3 for $30 from Toys R Us and I really enjoy playing against them. Otherwise the Wii U version has all of the same characters as the 3DS version and tons more gameplay options, plus being the first game in the series to be in high definition. I could not recommend it enough, especially since the Wii U is my favorite console ever.
