Two Saudi oil tankers 'sabotaged' in the Gulf

"One of the two vessels was on its way to be loaded with Saudi crude oil from the port of Ras Tanura, to be delivered to Saudi Aramco's customers in the United States."

There were no injuries reported but the two tankers suffered significant damage to their structures, he added.

"The international community has a joint responsibility to protect the safety of maritime navigation and the security of oil tankers," Mr Falih said.

On Sunday, the government of the emirate of Fujairah, which is part of the UAE, denied media reports that there had been explosions at its port.

I think there might be a false flag, and I'm sure Iran has their point of view in their current dispute with the great Satan. However, I don't think Iran is pure and innocent while America is the evil villain.

There are a lot of nations on the Earth. Quite a lot of them get along great with the US, and some get along poorly. Somehow Iran has managed to place themselves in the bottom 2 or 3 out of the whole world.

Is it really that hard to get along with the US? How do all the other nations do it? It seems to me that Iran is going out of its way to try to get us to bomb them. I hope they don't get their way, but I think it would be better if they figure out how all the other nations all over the world manage to avoid so much conflict.

The damage will cost a few million dollars to repair for sure but it's not that big of a damage for it to be in any danger of sinking, tankers are double hulled. I don't think it makes any sense to do it for insurance.

That kind of damage could be done by either a collision or some kind of explosion. Apparently it happened on one of the biggest ship anchorage areas in the world Fujairah. It would be very easy for a small boat (there are hundreds of those in the area) to sneak up behind the vessel and plant some explosives.

I dont believe Iran did this, nothing for them to gain from this plus it would be too obvious it was them. Maybe it's those rebels from Yemen.
