I was locked in by this mandatory quiz. Apparently failing to pass this still lets you register. On top of a forced tuition increase passed last week, we also got this prompt and new "rape-prevention programs" at the health center. California is a detriment to men's health.

"The University of California, Davis, requires students to complete an online activity in which they must identify certain words and phrases as "problematic" before they register for classes. Students are prompted to match "I'd hit that," "I raped that exam," "bitch," "pimp," and "slut" with the correct explanation for why each term should not be uttered."

Sigh. More madness from the Golden State. I've been in and out of it for years and it's so beautiful but so wacky politically. And it's turning into a police state while at the same time becoming ghettoized. WTF is it with the politicians out there?

Think we might need a thread for Californina like El Mech's on Florida (i.e. "California - A Very Fucked Up Place"??) [Image: lol.gif]

Nowhere. Defusing fights is not problematic.

I have a feeling if I scored a 0% the system automatically registers you for Women's Studies, a good way to squeeze out another 4 units of tuition money.

They picked the wrong state. The UC system is 50% Asian. Maybe I'll join my fellow brothers here and hit those northern oil sands.

It's funny because the administration actually thinks this is going to change someone's point of view on sexism/sexual hairassment/whatever.

It's like those personality tests some jobs make you take. Where a sample might be:

Our office requires a high level of teamwork in a stressful environment, would your rather:
A. Play a sports game with a group of co-workers.
B. Plant a bunch of flowers in a garden by yourself.

You may detest sports games with your co-workers and love tending to your garden, but you know your going to circle choice A.

Tests like these do absolutely nothing but satisfy the administration and probably get some random white knight faggot a pat on the back and a positive point on his evaluation report.

I would've loved to take that test, would've trolled the shit out of it. It would be the only test I would actually like to see an essay portion on. Would've walked out afterwards, with a smug smile, glance at the instructor and say "I raped the self-confidence and future potential out of that test", did the Patrick Bateman, and waited for the call from the counselor.

^^^Exactly.

If someone cared about social acceptance more than truth, they'd go full American psycho-Hugh Schwyzer and just repeat everything the media says about rape culture verbaitum while sociopathicaly pursuing their own interests.

If you want to know who the sociopaths and narcissists are, look at the people who have no problem repeating what's on a test like that and then walk out and behave however they want to without following anything they preach.

One of the many reasons not to waste your time and money going to college... I only passed college thanks to wikipedia.org. My best advice if you're starting out in college is to stop while your ahead.. everything you'll ever need in life can be learned on the internet.. Save your parents money OP.. if you're paying for it yourself then save your own money.
