So over the past two or so months there's been an uproar here about the Kingston College (an all boys' high school) refusing women to attend their annual reunion dinner. Found this article and decided I would share. I find it utterly distasteful, both on the newspaper's part for allowing it to be published and her, but nothing better is really expected from that woman.

Translation: She looks lesbian and thus will be writing with a bias instead of a genuine crusade for gender equality.

Nothing to worry about. Jamaicans are not nearly as susceptible to this kind of shaming as your average American is; your average Jamaican male just isn't as big a pushover as your typical western man and isn't as quick to acquiesce to the threats of this sort. The comments on that article alone should illustrate that quite clearly.

Good luck getting Jamaicans to roll over for the female imperative the way your average American male does.
