Yesterday was crowned in Bolivia, miss Hispanoamericana 2014... a beautiful tall (blond) chick: Romina Rocamonje

Some random thoughts:
- how come Miss Colombia was mediocre? A country known for the sheer beauty of its women could only send a mediocre girl to represent it?
- how the hell did they allow a shaved woman (Miss Haiti) in something that celebrates femininity and beauty? Is the virus of PCism spreading to these events in Latin America, one of the strongholds of masculinity and traditionalism and machismo?
-while both Miss Bolivia is cute, Miss Mexico is hotter but the hotter of the bunch is Miss Venezuela was the hotter one IMO.

Miss Bolivia looks like a tacky EE girl. I'm not that impressed anytime I see girls whom ain't white , try to look like white girls. Bolivia has the highest ratio of Aboriginal blood do they not? No thanks.

Im surprised Haiti was even included as its usually not considered part of hispanic america. Miss Hispanoamerica should be hispanic, haitian creole is not a hispanic language. Haitians typically distance themselves from latinos and identify more as carribbean. Either way you want to slice it they shouldnt have sent a bald chick as their representative. I understand beauty pageants aren't always pure beauty..its politics and questions and shit.

But at the same time.. So many countries send in contestants that don't match up with the countries actually lookt

Fiji actually stripped the crown of one of their girls once..because they argued that she did not look anything like the natives and didn't represent well.
Of course they "official" reason was that she was too young

"Latin America" technically refers to all of the American nations in which the romance languages are spoken. The Haitians are, technically (by the literal, academic definition of the term), Latin Americans, as French is a romance language. I'd imagine that this was the reason/excuse for including them.

Bolivia is home to three main ethnic races:

Native peoples, mostly in the Andean and Altiplano regions. Generally not attractive

White Bolivians, descended from old European colonists. Upper class and have potential, though most have a very unique, curious look to them, perhaps from generations of interbreeding in a small gene pool of other whites.

Mestizos, as exist in most countries in Latin America, common throughout the country. They are the hottest of these three groups, by far. Check out Santa Cruz de la Sierra. High quality talent that will make you think you're in Brazil. The climate and environment is totally different from La Paz and highland Bolivia, and native Bolivian peoples do not live in that region.
