Valencia (Spain) Data Sheet

Intro:

With a population of around 800,000, Valencia is Spain’s 3rd biggest city. It’s located in the East of the country in the Mediterranean coast, around 350 km south of Barcelona.

The weather is good all year round but the high humidity means you’ll sweat like a pig during the summer. Winters are very mild and overall, this is one of the reasons why the city attracts so many tourists.

On top of Spanish, which everyone speaks, many locals also speak Valenciano which is a dialect of Catalan (it’s pretty much the same language but with a softer accent). It’s mainly spoken in the metropolitan area but not so much in the city. Unlike in Catalonia the locals won’t be angry if you never use the local language, Spanish is totally fine. English is not very common and even college students struggle with it. Due to this, knowledge of Spanish is a must if you want to game the local talent (more on than later).

Here's another data sheet from BigAlexBoss where he praises the city (I disagree on a few things, but personal experience may vary).

About myself: I’m a local (born and raised) but luckily I don’t live there any more. I also used to study there and I hated it. This was partly because University in Spain has more lecture hours and exams than in other places in Europe due to a shitty education system (long story). I was always busy with school and couldn’t go out a lot. When I did go out, I’d usually frequent the wrong places where sausage fests and attitude are the norm.

Girls:

After doing some traveling I can firmly say that Spanish chicks are among the best looking ones in Western Europe, specially if you dig the Mediterranean look. Their attitudes suck and I wish I could say they are all hideous and ugly, but unfortunately this is not the case. During the day, Spanish girls might look more average since they wear no make up or high heels like Slavic women. In the summer however, they dress in revealing shorts that display their best trait: their ass. The only thing that Spanish girls have better than Slavic girls is their butt. In Poland or Belarus I often noticed that even if a girl had a nice ass, her hips wouldn’t be wide enough to match the quality of her glutes. Spanish girls have wider hips which make a nice ass look much better. At night the local girls usually wear tight dresses and high heels, they put a lot of effort into looking good.

This is a good representation of what a solid 8 looks like in Spain:

Her name is Cristina Pedroche, a Spanish TV presenter. Her look is quite common in Spain although you can also find more pasty brunettes, blondes etc.

Gaming Spanish girls through cold approaching can be very hard. The reasons behind the difficulty of Mediterranean girls have already been discussed. I believe it all comes down to big social circles, extremely bad ratios and a constant supply of thirsty guys that make average looking girls enjoy a lot of attention and validation both online and at the clubs.

Luckily, there’s plenty of foreign girls in Valencia, both tourists and students (mainly from the Erasmus programme). After living abroad and also gaming both local chicks and foreign girls in Valencia, I’ve reached the conclusion that you have a much better ROI if you dedicate your time to foreign girls. When I visit, I pretty much don’t approach Spanish girls anymore if I’m in a venue with foreign poon. If you go to the right spots, you can find girls from Scandinavia, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Poland etc. Whether they are tourists or Erasmus students, they’ll be open to meeting new people and you’ll have a chance to collect new flags. In addition, there’s also a lot of immigrants from South America, specially from Colombia. In general SA girls are more friendly and less snobby than Spanish girls.

Nightlife:

The student scene in Valencia sucks balls. Even though there’s a lot of students (there’s two big universities in the city) most of them are locals and live with their parents. Unlike in the Anglosphere, in Spain it is very common to study in your home city. Even 3rd and 4th tier cities have small universities so unless you want to study Medicine or Law you’ll probably end up staying with your old folks during your college years.

This has terrible consequences when it comes to meeting girls. Social circles from high school are usually conserved and on top of that, in university you rarely meet people outside of your degree (only occasionally through mutual friends etc). In addition, ONS with local students are very uncommon. As Roosh wrote on this post if a girl lives with her parents she’s not going to bring a new guy each weekend to fuck his brains out.

For these reasons, most guys settle with the first decent looking girl they land.

In addition, the competition is tough and it’s almost as if being needy is ingrained in our culture. If you listen to popular Spanish songs that they play in the commercial clubs, the lyrics are almost always about a sad guy that lost his beautiful snowflake of a girl who was unique and amazing.

The main clubs:

The following 4 clubs are the most popular among Spanish students. Even people who don’t go to clubs very often have been to these ones at some point. People go here in large, often mixed groups and the girls have zero interest in hooking up with a stranger. The logistics of these clubs are also shit. Drinks are expensive, so instead of drinking inside, Spaniards usually buy alcohol in the supermarket and drink outside at some park before hitting the clubs (we call this “Botellón”). Locals usually do this between 12:00 and 4:00 am and then go to the clubs from 4:00 to 7:00. With the exception of Animas, they all have a snobby vibe. I fucking hate these clubs and don’t recommend them at all.

Superclub:

This club is located in the city center, 5 minutes away from the Bullfighting plaza. You can usually find people drinking in the surrounding streets but approach opportunities are rare. Your best bet is to approach a small group and ask if they’ve got ice cubes or plastic cups. Once inside after throwing away 10-15 euros in the cover, you’ll find yourself in a crowded club with shitty ratios and loud music. Talking here is almost impossible. Your best bet is to order a drink in one of the small bars (the cover includes a drink) and then hang out in the big room by the entrance near the coat hanger where the music is less loud and it’s easier to approach (but it still sucks balls). Girls here have a bad attitude, I went here on my last weekend in Spain and I remember an angry girl who shouted at me for blocking the stairway for a second while I looked for my friends. I’m by no means a small guy and girls always respected me in different countries but in Spain it is not uncommon to run into bitchy entitled cunts. You’ll notice here there’s almost zero approach opportunities, as girls mostly hang out in the crowded dance floor, surrounded by penis and enjoying the male attention. There’s two floors but they’re both equally shitty. There’s also a vip area with bottle service that is also very crowded.
You can check the photos to see what I mean:

The club closes during the summer.

Extremely packed sausage fest.

Young, very average looking girls (5s and 6s) that have no interest in meeting a stranger and that probably live with their parents. They usually dance forming a circle so that no guy approaches them. God forbid a dude might try to flirt with them! Gaming these girls is not much easier than gaming the 8s and 9s.

Mya:

It’s located in the Museo de las Artes y las Ciencias. It’s basically a smaller version of Superclub. There’s a small park with benches in front of it where students do Botellón and you might have some approach opportunities. There’s also some couches and an out doors area where people smoke right in the entrance. The club still sucks though.

TB Club:

It’s a lot like Mya but with a more snobby vibe. Don’t go here if you’re not ready to spend some money, it’s only worth it if you have bottle service and even then it’s shit. Just as in the other clubs, the talent is quite good:

https://www.facebook.com/TBClubfanpage/photos_stream

The ratios are slightly better but the competition is tough.

Animas:

This is the less snobby club out of the 4. From May to October it has an open air area and the club is quite big. It has some good approach opportunities in places that are very intuitive such as the big stairways, the sofas, the big corridor outside the bathrooms etc. You’ll usually find a mixed crowd, mostly young students but also some older people. They do an Erasmus night on Wednesdays and a regular student night on Thursdays (for Spanish students). They sometimes also organize foam parties for the Erasmus students during the day and overall the club has a better vibe than the previous ones. The entrance is usually free during the summer week nights. The club is 5 minutes away from the beach and the ratios can be quite good during the summer (July-August) but it gets pretty bad in May-June.

Animas can be hit or miss. On this particular night the ratios were horrible.

The talent however is usually good:

Other (better) venues:

La 3:

This club attracts a slightly more alternative crowd as well as the preppy girls from the snobby clubs who want to go somewhere different. There’s also many foreigners and people don’t need to dress up to get in. The talent is not amazing but girls in general are friendly and it’s also relatively cheap. Some of the foreign girls here are DTF [Image: banana.gif]

Akuarela:

5 minutes away from Animas, right in front of the beach. The club is open only during the summer and it’s usually free to get in. It has a slightly international crowd although trashy Spanish people also go there on weekends cause it’s cheap. It’s a good option for a weeknight. The talent is average but the girls are approachable. Mild recommendation.

Umbracle:

During the summer there’s an open air club called Umbracle on top of the club Mya. There’s a mix of students and also an older crowd. There’s many sofas and opportunities for isolation and the music is much lower. The club is popular among tourist and Erasmus girls and it’s probably one of the best clubs in the city. It has a more relaxed and less snobby vibe than Mya. Strong recommendation.

El Carmen:

This is the best nightlife area of the city, specially during the summer when it’s full of tourists. El Carmen is the old town, in the city center and there’s many small pub/clubs with relatively cheap drinks. Entrance is usually free. Go to the Plaça del Tossal where you can find Cafe Bolseria and other clubs. Fox congo is also good but it can be hit or miss depending on the night. The best here is to do street approaches and then get the girls inside a club once you’ve got to know them a bit. There is also El Carmen club near the Torres de Quart. There’s many Australian, Dutch and British tourists during the summer and they’re significantly easier than the locals. The place has a very cool vibe and although the talent is lower than in the snobby clubs, you can still find foreign quality. The clubs however close very early for Spanish standards so it’s better to get there early (at around midnight). The area gets empty at 3:00 - 4:00, people usually go to Animas or Umbracle once the El carmen clubs close.

Rumbo 144:

Small club located in Av. Blasco Ibañez, near the universities. They have some good Erasmus nights but the club itself is shit. Very loud music, usually Hip Hop/Electro, very crowded and few approach opportunities except in the entrance where people go to smoke. There’s always quite a few black guys and I think some girls here are into dark meat.

https://www.facebook.com/rumbo144vlc?fref=ts

Avenida de Aragón:

Here is where the football (soccer) stadium of Valencia CF is located (it’s called Mestalla). There’s many small bars where you can drink cheap beer with your friends but the area is not too good for girls. There’s also some small clubs where Spanish girls are friendlier. Caribbeans and White House are good on Wednesdays (Erasmus nights) and Thursdays.

Day Game:

I have very limited experience with day game in Valencia. During the day Spanish girls don’t expect to be approached and their characteristic bitch shields are nowhere to be found. The nightlife is quite bad for approaching local girls so if you want to get your Spanish flag I’d recommend doing Day game instead. If your looks are average or above, you can do direct DG, like this guy does:

His name is Alvaro Reyes and he’s very popular in Spain and SA for his day game videos.
He’s got solid game but I think he’s overrated as a pick up coach.

Conclusion:

Valencia can be a great city if you’re not very keen on gaming preppy Spanish girls. It’s quite touristy and international making it good for flag hunting. Unless you’ve got an extensive social circle, a high bank roll or a way of showing status it’s better to avoid the snobby clubs where many Spanish students go to. Spanish girls are hard to crack and many will agree that they’re simply not worth it. The talent is still there but the ROI will be low so there’s no reason not to focus on foreign women. The best time to visit is during the summer when the locals go on holiday and the city is flooded with horny tourists eager to party. During that time, you can go out every night and the best places are El carmen, Umbracle, Akuarela and Animas.

Luisaceo, very solid report on the city. I find funny how many similarities the porteñas and valencianas share.

There are similarities between all Mediteranean countries.Greeks who visit Spain are totally disappointed by the local looks. There is too much Arabic mix and no slavic mix as you see in Greece. This means less quality in girls.
Spanish girls like Greek guys and are considered easier than Italian ones. One told me that Spanish guys are soft while Greek guys are hard and she is interested in hard guys.Another one described to me how good Greek guys look and local differences.
Also Spanish look much more civilized than Greeks abroad. You do not see the wild Balkan looks or machism. They are also much better dancers and more polite.Lots of spanish women seem on the lesbian side.
Their game level as I witnessed in Poland is superior to Italian one but they are not comfortable they tend to stick with the girls for long time.Greek guys are more prone leaving the girls alone after a while(we simply get bored by talking) and we like slavic situation. For example I would let girls hooking up with polish guys and then participate in exchange while Mediteranean guys become possessive which is silly because it raises the value of girls.
Slavs got it right in this regard.

From my limited experience I'd say Argentinian girls look very Spanish. I believe most have some Spanish and/or Italian descent so I guess it makes sense to say that there's almost no differences in their appereance (and attitude sadly).

There's a big hype for Argentinian girls (specially for the ones in Cordoba), It would be interesting how they compare with Spanish girls ,who are slightly less praised in this forum.

Thx for this informative sheet! It appears as if the the other Valencia sheet had a stronger emphasis on overall lifestyle of the city opposed to club pickup:
http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-13305.html

Seems to be this common theme that other cities outside of Madrid have issues with strong social cliques that screw everything up. What I like about the capital is the influx of Latin American transplants, foreign women, and other Spanish transplants from smaller towns. Seems like Erasmus girls, bars, and daygame might be the way to go here opposed to slumming it out at expensive clubs. Will still give Valencia a chance...but if I live in Spain for a longer time...then it'll be Madrid.
