Samantha Armytage, one of the talking heads on Sunrise (one of our morning "news"/talk/blue pill viral content shows in Australia) is crying about how a particular newspaper is "fat shaming" her. Have a look. Note that the article does NOT mention the name of the alleged paper at all.

She's being panned right now because on live TV when the picture of the doing taking a selfie with Joan Rivers on the operating table, Armytage says "I'm surprised it's a woman (doctor)"

When her co host asked what was surprising, she replied "only a man would be stupid enough to do that".

Now she is whining about any blow back.

Apparently, on live television, Armytage said that only a man would be stupid enough to take a selfie while their patient was under anesthetic.



Most outlets seem to using this situation to drive comments and views by calling her comments "seemingly sexist" and portraying the man, David Koch, as some sort of amusingly hysterical male.

She has a failing TV show Bringing Sexy Back, which is apparently about make-overs and weight loss.

That being said, this situation seems to have become a cat fight.

Apparently, a Daily Telegraph writer -- Annette Sharp -- made a post which, evidently, accused Armytage of having bad fashion sense by using old photos in which Armytage was heavier.

It seems to be a situation involving women, that once you figure out what is really going on, you know you lost 10 minutes of your life you won't be getting back.

I'm thinking of agreeing and amplifying: "Yes, but only a woman would be stupid enough to get caught."

Jesus, that woman. She's bad enough to look at.

David Koch is a painful prick to watch also though. That entire show is, and always has been, awful. Have they ever had a line up that didn't suck? On the rare occasions when I've watched it, I have found every single person on that show to be someone I have wanted to punch in the face.

The interesting thing to me about those shows is the "roles" each person plays. It's like if you watch those late night shows such as Letterman, they all have their roles, too. Sitcoms are the same. Even those lifestyle shows have them. Every single television show has people in little boxes according to the same formula. This passes for entertainment or something. Shows like Sunrise are meant to be full of people you can trust or relate to or something. I find those people nothing but insufferable. Yet if viewing numbers are anything to go by, people loooooooooooove this stuff. As odd as this sounds, I actually don't know people who watch TV in Australia. Who are these people who lap this up, and where do they live? Tell me now, so I can avoid those suburbs next time I go back to Australia for a visit. Or maybe I can go and study them. They simultaneously intrigue and horrify me.
