Gaming is different in Lille, I love to go out there, I have acquired a lot of phone numbers either from gaming in bars or outside bars. 0 from daygame and 1 or 2 from Tinder, all from french girls. I play mostly the Quebecer card a lot, they are always smiling and happy to talk, meet, tease and have fun with a Quebecer. Club game relies a lot on looks though and they only discover that I'm Quebecer after approving my look. Probably in bars I would have more success.
What is very interesting here is that you have to be a seductor, try in every way possible to approach the girls, make them laugh and DANCE with a lot of energy with them. Most songs that people love are from the 90es and 80es, old french songs and classics from rock and roll, and cheesy songs, not a lot of hip hop so far and there's not that many mainstream or electro club musics. However its very enjoyable, it feels like gaming and dancing in the 70es or 80es again, the old school way, and you can definately have fun in a bar this way because nobody is stressed out and has an angry bitch shield face. Everyone is having fun and smiling. One night stand culture seems to be happening, but its still not as easy as it sounds, hence the collection of numbers...but it seems every night I see a girl leaving with some random dude in a club.
Its definately a good city for night gaming and try to get a french flag instead of Paris. Nights out are fun, people are chill and girls are beautiful.
I really like the french girls here, there are 2 types, the Parisian type (students from Paris or other parts of France): who dress extremely well (not slutty), just elegante and are petite in figures and the Lilloise who are often taller, well shaped, blonde and who like to wear slutty dresses (the younger girls, the older ones get more muscular like on the picture below). The blonde Lilloise are making my underbelly work (its one of those I pulled the first time, even though she had black hair and was from the Ardennes). I have a mexican exchange student friend who speaks no french and he managed to have a ONS with a girl so I imagine any foreigner can do it and is well accepted. Latin countries like Mexico, Brazil are extremely appreciated here especially if you are a tall guys, girls love to practice their spanish with mexicans or dancing with brazilians. It's probably one of the best places I know for dance game, because the girls love to do it but are not good at it.
I tried Okcupid in other cities, one russian from Budapest. gave me her facebook and whatsapp.
However, going out is extremely tiresome which makes it hard to dance well at the end of a night, since Tinder and Okcupid are not really options in France (Tinder not so bad, better than when I started but its still not really well seen)..I rely mostly on night game and I often get what I want early in the morning. I only have two french flags so far. Daygaming in France doesn't seem easy compared to when I was in other countries, especially in winter where it's pretty cold (November is as cold as Montreal right now, maybe worse). I haven't really tried the bars for gaming, only the clubs, maybe that's something that would be easier for me.
Since I stopped going to the gym, i'm also much less muscular than I used to be. I loved working out and I'm having negative effects of stopping.
Lille is an absolute goldmine for a visit for nightgame though, especially thursday, friday, saturday. Here's the datasheet of the bars I tried...for those who have been going out in Montreal and other notable places with good clubs/lounge, I haven't found the equivalent yet in Lille in term of quality and good music/dj/layout but its way chiller here, not a lot of negative attitudes
First Area Solferino, clubs and student bars district
Smile: A club mostly for young people (18-20) but there's a lot of people from every age group, just that age range is higher. First floor is shit, mostly mainstream music with a shit dj. Second floor is fun, mostly old songs from french music the disco era or the 80es-90es. Here if you dance well with a girl you can kill it, everyone does it. Its always packed and crowded on 'the days I listed earlier. Drinks are expensive (7 euros for a pint). Lot of girls go out in a group of two.
Magnum: A smaller bar where people dance on tables, good potential for gaming because its a smaller venue. The drinks are cheaper than at Smile.
La Boucherie: This place is for a crowd of 25-32 years old even though you can find older people or younger people around 20-21. Foreigners don't like it because its too french (the music is a lot of old french songs and rock song again, plus a lot of more mainstream but good and not aggressive songs). I like the lights there with the stroboscope, its set up in a way than if you are a little drunk anything can happen, its just crazy and crowded. Its a meat market, people go there for pickup women but that are not dressing slutty. Dance game and having fun game is a must. Its the only place in my life where I think, I got hit on the head by a dude, i made out with a girl and madeout with another one who brought me back to her place for sex, all in the same night. It has good ratio 50/50 compared to Smile
L'Irlandais/ O'scotland: O'scotland has pretty good beers, people drink there then go out at l'Irlandais where there's a little more action. I haven't really went out there so I don't know much about it but I will update the datasheet.
Latina club: I think its shit but Erasmus students seem to like it (mostly latin sudents tho), its shitty salsa and lating music and its not very fn.
