The thread title says it all really. I sitting right now on a train heading thru the adirondacks towards Montreal. The two German girls traveling thru the Northeast and Canada I met earlier on the train, while initially friendly, were not flirtatious at all and have exited my presence. Spirits remain high, and I have a nice hotel room near a university and the main bar area, I have a thick native Texas accent I can call up, I learned enough French on the train and the week before to be cute about it, and I'm not hideous and can carry a conversation and make friends. I've got until Sunday

I've never really done this before. I did go to Philly once and went out alone because my friends were MIA the night I arrived in town. I managed to hang out for awhile with a group of 4 girls and ended up going to a house party with them. I didn't capitalize though and nothing happened.

Any general ideas on what I should do to hit the ground running other than approach like a motherfucker?

Do you normally go out alone? Are you comfortable heading out alone?

I've only ever gone out alone once, when I was in a foreign city and didn't speak the language.

you can approach like a motherfucker, you should be ok. If my first few approaches dont stick, it tends to irrationally fuck my up entire evening.

Where will you be staying, at a hostel? Are you making it a point to go out alone?

Sounds like you have great logistics

Look at Yelp and Tripadvisor for the best bars and nightclubs within a reasonable distance

Daygame around the university if you get a chance but don't wear yourself out

At night, don't approach large groups- stick to groups of 2 or 3 girls or solo girls if you can find them

Be aware of your surroundings and approach girls giving you IOIs if you get any

Execute basic game

Screen girls-if they are not into you or have bad logistics or friends cockblock you, eject quickly

Keep approaching until a girl hooks hard and seem DTF

Invite her to your room for a drink. You should already have alcohol in the room

So far I have been very impressed with Montreal as a city. The food is excellent, it's very easy to get around and it's very lively at night. The thing about the girls is that they are essentially no different looks wise from say a Houston, Dallas, or Chicago. It's just that the vast majority of them (80%+)are slender and feminine. I actually saw my first geniunely fat chick today of the subway, and she was English speaking.

That being said I still haven't hooked up with anyone yet, and it's not for lack of trying but I suspect it's because of my liberal use of "Parle vous anglaise?"

Also my phone does not have service at all. Zero. None. I have to give out my email which has worked for me in Spain so far I have had no responses back.

It really sucks too as my hotel is across from a university, next to a concert hall/nightclub, and has a fucking hot tub in it. I didn't reserve this room but they overbooked the hotel and this was the only room available. No charge for the upgrade. I am going to be so pissed if I don't get to use that thing.
