Father destroys adult son's video games hilarity ensues

From the video its clear the son is an unemployed college graduate with student loans who lives at home spending all of his time and energy on his Xbox. Props to the father for deciding to give his son a wake up call to refocus his priorities and destroy the games. Anyone who doesn't think video games can be a destructive addiction need only watch the son's reaction which was akin to a drug addict losing his shit at the thought of his drugs being taken away or put into rehab.

Fake. And, if not fake, what father would allow a son to "progress" to such a pussified state before doing anything?

Camera guy should do it professionally. His cinematography is impeccable.

I kind of feel sorry for the little guy. But not really, videogames are the worst waste of time. I remember the last time I played one, Silent Hill on Playstation. That was around 15 years ago. It was fun, it was exciting, and I dedicated around 2 or 3 weeks of my life to that game. What good came out of it? Am I a better man because I wasted 2 weeks on a videogame? Or the long summers I spent in front of my Nintendo as a kid?

Used games are probably worth more as click bait on youtube running them over with a lawnmower than actual trade in value.

"Alpha children wear grey. They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. Besides they wear black, which is such a beastly color. I'm so glad I'm a Beta."

The symbolism is completely correct, but the video doesn't make sense. Everything game-related is in the cloud and easy to re-download nowadays. Heck, if someone destroyed my laptop tomorrow I'd be able to get back to playing in the same way within a few hours.

I don't think this can do anyone involved anything good. He couldn't do a proper job raising his son so he decided to take a shit on his offspring, real good fathering right there, 'father'.

Well true he is taking something away form his son, but he is giving him something even more valuable...the impetus to be independent rather than a leech.

He seems a bit too mentally attached to those games. I think he needs to see a shrink...
and probably even moreso after this event...

This is bullsh1t in one way or another. [Image: angry.gif]

As you can see from the video, the house is huge and has numerous play areas so he was spoiled by his father who has a 'ride on' lawn mower. What kind of sadistic fvck gives his kid all kinds of games and then later shreds them in front of him, if you think this is correct parenting you need to get your head read. I would simply get back at my father by taking a bat and going smashing all the windows in his car or beating him within an inch of his life. The camera man would be getting a bat to the face for taking a video, especially if he was family.. If it was my brother, I'd be going into his room and destroying everything he had. Hey man if you are going to get thrown out anyway, do it with a bang.

You can probably expect the father to wind up dead or something later on, that kid didn't look like he was joking.

First the act itself is disrespectful to your family but to film it? Now that's just sick. If you want your kid to get a job, throw him out. Simple. If the father had instilled a work ethic from the beginning, he wouldn't have this problem. He's obviously a dickhead who planned the entire thing from the get go, I don't know why people have this obsession with airing their dirty laundry on the internet.

If you listen to the kid "This cost me HUNDREDS of dollars" so he bought them all himself. What did the old man prove? He has no respect for his son.

You don't learn that bad work ethic from nowhere, its taught to you by your parents. If you don't game and its not your thing, that's fine but there is some sort of weird preoccupation on this forum with trashing guys hobbies that don't involve hunting, fishing and being 'outside'. Youtube not video games are what is causing this family's issues.. I think probably the kid plays video games to cope/escape his horrible life. They may be spoiled but they sure as hell aren't loved.

If the father wanted to do something useful, he would have taken an interest in his son's hobbies and tried to help him find a job that would match his skillset... failing that, simply give his son 20 days to find a job before you kick him out. Most likely that kid will get his own place, get an xbox and get playing again and never speak to the father and 'I'm guessing the brother' again.

I urge everyone on the forum to check out the youtube channel, the kids are clearly spoiled and the brother is a sick fvk...who basically tortures his brother for hits. This is not a happy family, I blame the parents.

What a wonderful Christmas that would be. Listen to his brother laugh at the end, what a sadistic fvk.

This family has bigger problems than videogames. The father and brother are likely narcissists.

Come on guys, this is so obviously fake.

His reaction at the beginning is completely unrealistic and scripted. Not to mention all of the games he names are almost 10 years old.

I thought it was hilarious regardless if its fake or not because there are some video game nerds out there who would have an apoplectic meltdown if their video game collection were destroyed.

I'm leaning towards fake. If it isn't, the kid has a lawsuit on his hands if he truly paid for those games out of pocket.

I like the lens flare edit before transitioning to the outside so you don't notice they had to do multiple takes. (And make the dog dissapear. Probably it interfered with the the outside shot)

I also like some of the blur whipe transitions between takes --although the strange two toned "fuu-uuk" that they patched between two takes with "son" staring into the camera kinda gives it away.

It also looks like they hid some packing peanuts in those carefully A-frame positioned cases to give more fluff to the mowing shot, because the lawn mower blade can't actually reach low enough to scoop cds off the ground. (It's a safety feature they can't override)

And very good transition after the mowing scene to a different area where the barefoot actor does' t have to worry about cutting up his feet. Case it's gonna take weeks to rake that sharp shit out of the lawn now.

"Psycho dad" needs to buy himself and his "son" acting lessons if he's going to keep his youtube channel going. And with 9 million hits on this one video alone, they can afford to.

"Alpha children wear grey. They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. Fake but funny in its own way.

Also disturbing on a certain level.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

I think it's fake too. However, I know plenty of fathers who let their sons progress to such a pussified state. I actually know quite a few dudes who are just like this kid and I'm pretty sure they would react exactly like that if this where to happen to them.

It amazes me a video with this level of bad acting gets close to 10 million views. The director should have thrown in a hot "sister" in a bikini and gotten 100 million views.

Funny thing there really are guys like this.

Where I work, I know a guy in his 60s with a 30 somethign son who stays at home playing video games all day. The son was in a Philosophy PhD program and had a total stress meltdown. Came back to his parents 4 years ago. The coworker just feels like he's helpless and unable to push his son to do anything. I keep thinking "come on, it's FOUR YEARS now."

Nope. It's just "he's addicted and there's nothing I can do about it."
