Situation:
Girl in my class approached me on the first day of class. She was touching my arms, and when we went to look at the same microscope she leaned in, with her chest touching my shoulder. She also bent down in front of me, and I could see her cleavage.

Next day, the first thing she asks me how old I am. I say I'm 21, and she says "oh… you are too young…" I ask how old she is and she says 23, and I say I'm turning 22 next week, and its only 1 year apart. But after this she gives the cold shoulder and doesn't talk to me anymore.

I'm thinking this could be that she was interested in something long-term and screening out heavily. Is there any way to get around a situation like this?

Most women prefer a man older than them. I usually don't tell girls my age at all. Let them guess and then I usually say that she has guessed correctly.

She was interested into you as she thought you were a bit older, which is not a bad sign, because some men appear older due to their behavior, height etc.

Recent experience with a 26 year old: She guessed my age at around 30, but since she kept on asking I told her my real age closer to 40. Many ways to approach this.

I would have probably told her I was 16. She would have been incredulous, I would have stuck to my guns and told her I'm a genius and skipped 4 grades in school. She would either keep pushing then or laugh it off but keeping pushing later. That's a sign that she's hooked. Then I'd tell her the truth. That age shit does not matter for a difference of 2 years so when telling her the truth, it's all a matter of holding your frame. You should not be affected by whatever her reaction is to your age, just ignore and game on. If she gives a stupid reaction, look at her like she's stupid. Let her know with your gaze that she just lowered her value in your eyes. She will work to earn back that value.

I had a friend who was in HS who visited me during college. Dude was very good looking, and looked mature for his age. At age 17 he easily looked 21.

He was hooking up with several girls in one bar, makeout here, makeout there. Not really closing but y'know, getting shitfaced and having a great time.

Some asshole we were hanging out with got jealous and started interrupting him (!) and telling girls he was 17.

Exactly. Girls find way too many reasons to disqualify you. I never tell my age. Let her guess and then usually tell her that her guess was correct. End of story. But I usually hit on 18-25 year olds while being almost 40.

Though in that example the 17 year old would better not tell them ever his real age. He might have made it into their panties without the cock-block.

The reason I didn't want to say this is because somehow the rumor spread throughout my class that I am the guy who started college at 16 (it is true, I don't know how they found out), and I am always getting approached by classmates who ask me about it. So I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, which is why I don't say that.
