Affirmation looping

Not sure if this is a dupe, but I've been recently trying something out and it seems to be working fairly decently. In the world of game, there's a lot of stuff about affirmations, or making positive statements that will presumably lead to improvement in game and belief system. While a lot of mainstream science is fairly ambivalent about NLP, that's a story for another day. Either way, this is a widely recognized part of inner game and its development.

Anyway, I read something a few days ago that really made me think. That was about looping your affirmations, rather than simply saying them in front of a mirror. For someone like me, I've found it to be far more effective. As with all game things, your mileage may vary.

Basically, this follows three steps:

1. Figure out what you want the affirmation to be. For me, it's "I'm so fucking charming and high-status." I find that works for me. I personally believe that it's individual. I will, however, say that you should avoid words like "can't," "won't," "don't," or any negative language at all. For example. "I'm not a pussy" should be replaced with "I'm confident." There's something in our brains that will ignore the negation.

2. Start looping it. You're in your car, start looping it. Start looping it in the gym. Loop it at the supermarket, gas station, basically anywhere where you don't have to think about other things. I try to loop it whenever I can, wherever I can, at least once or twice a day. From my experience, this will solidify the belief and help you make it part of yourself, vs. "fake it until you make it."

3. Loop it and have a physical challenge. For me, I loop it when I'm taking a cold shower (if you're not already, start doing it. I've done it for about a week and a half, and I've already seen the results). If you can maintain the loop under the cold water, then you'll be able to maintain it in front of a hot girl.

If you're not fucking her, someone else is.

So 'looping' is effectively about doing it more, the more you do it the more its likely to result in the action of the affirmation.

What is wrong with using words like 'can't', 'won't, 'don't'? What should a statement like 'I am not scared' be replaced with?

@Heathree

Another way to state that in the affirmative would be "I will be courageous"

Essentially saying the same thing, but conveying it totally different

The Opening Post was quite timely.
I came across the following which was really helpful:

I did notice when going out to pickup and using the affirmation: 'Don't be scared' to overcome AA, initially I was ok but later became affected. Then when using 'Be at ease' and 'Be comfortable' things actually became at ease and ok.

NLP seems quite a powerful system. Any recommendations for a good comprehensive website covering NLP?

I think "I AM courageous" is better.

I talk to myself all the time…it works.

People think I'm crazy, I'm sure, when I'm about to do a big lift in the gym. I start chanting quietly to myself about how I'm fucking strong, I'm fucking powerful, this little fucking weight won't defeat me etc. Never fails to illicit a response in myself.
