On the way back to States I gonna have a layover in Paris, arriving around 6pm and leaving next day at 10am. Never been there, and there was a quite short notice, so looking for the recommendation where to stay. The plan so far is to get to the city by train, drop the backpack in a hotel, walk around, enjoy the nightlife, sleep a few hours then get back to the airport. Any specific hotel suggestions would be highly appreciated!
Layover in Paris - where to stay?
I dont have any hotel recommendations, just hostel.
Years ago, I was on a similar flight plan, arriving in paris in the evening and leaving in the morning. I stayed at this really cute hostel called Place Cualaincourt in Montmartre.
Keep in mind that Montmartre is on a small hill just outside the Paris city limits. It takes around 30 minutes point to point by the metro.
The hostel was right next to the Basilica Sacre Couer and my dorm window opened right onto a great view of the main dome.
I was pretty ok with the idea of commuting 30 mins to get to the hostel, but obviously thats not the case with everyone.

Yeah, I'm definitely not the hostel type person but thank you anyway.
There are some decent budget hotels near place de la republique. Thats where I usually stay.
Will check it, but if you name a few, I'd appreciate it. A lot of info I found about Paris is in French
what is your budget oldnemesis??
For hotel I'd like to spend up to 75 eur, maybe 100 more for partying. I don't need any other amenities as long as it has a private room with private bath and working shower.
check "L'Ouest Hotel": http://ouest-hotel-paris.com/ or http://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/louestho...is.en.html
If you go near Les Champs Elysées you are going to pay a lot but this one is well located to go out.
(You certainly know it but you can use trivago.com to find good prices)
