I'll be in Cuba August 27 - September 8.

Planning on starting out in Cienfuegos for a couple nights, working my way to Santiago de Cuba before spending a weekend in Ciego de Avila.

Hey Lavidaloca,

Good call on Cienfuegos! My 2nd best city next to Havana! First trip there was close to 20 years ago and have been there a few more times since then. Haven't been to the other cities you mentioned. 2 days is enough since it can get boring.

I plan on doing another Cienfuegos, Santa Clara and Trinidad (in the mountains and hit the waterfalls) trip next year.

I love Havana as well. Part of me is considering going to Havana for a couple days and scrapping Las Tunas or Santiago but I'll see. I kind of want to explore parts of the island I'm less familiar with. My return flight is from Santa Clara so inevitably i'll have a night there as well. I've only been in Cienfuegos a night before and 2 nights in Ciego (1 in the city) and another in Moron. Cienfuegos is beautiful for Cuba and I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have any hustlers bothering me.
