these books do fill a niche in the market. and by niche i mean vagina of course.
i was in brazil years ago and an old german guy took me to visit the infamous help nightclub.
the girl i met was really friendly but i was broke and staying at a hostel dorm so she didn't come back with me.
we made out and i groped her til they closed though.
i also went to some real ritzy club in rio de janeiro with a negro girl from london. it was fun but a bit too rich for my blood.

ROFLMAOOOOOO@negro girl..what are you..65 years old..*cracks up at negro girl..sounds like some sort of African-American super heroine..*

Look, up in the sky, is it a bird? No! Is it overcast? No! What is it?

It's Negro girl bwahahahahaha

anyone that's been in brazil will know that blacks are called negros down there as opposed to 'blacks' or 'african americans'. A brazilian chick explained to me it's their word for blacks. Something about cognates with their word in portugese. I wasn't really listening cos she had nice boobs. Anyway it's nice to know even on a forum like this we still have a PC patrol. Makes me feel safer.

You do realize that negro means black in portuguese right? It's offensive to call someone preto, which also means black or dark.

When I read this, I thought it was written in english, not portuguese...
Preto - don't, is like the N word for you.
Negro - do, thumbs up.
Afro -Brazilian - makes you look inteligent, political correct. (also boring, depending on the audience)

Deixa que essa fase é passageira, amanhã será melhor você vai ver a cidade inteira seu samba saber de cor!

Yes me too, my Venezulean friend said that's what they call blacks in Venezuela too.

I was just making a general observation..some people may not like that frame..if you talk to a 'Negro' American and use that term, y'all may come to some form of misunderstanding..

For instance, when I lived in England, my friend from Denmark used to refer to people from Pakistan as P***s (I blurred out the word because I am not sure if it is offensive or not). She said that's what they called them in Denmark.
I said over here it is an offensive term.

But all and all, whatever's clever..

Thoughts? Comments? Critques?

Roosh, I am buying the book soon. I must be one of the weird guys on here cause I can't bring myself to ever leave RIO. I have always had killer success in this city and it's never dawned on me to leave. Every time I read a bad rio thread it leaves me a bit puzzled as to how this is possible. You definatly need to arm yourself prior to your RIO arrival...it took at least my second trip to "figure" it out....

that means learn basic portuguese, learn the places to go, and learn as much as you can about brazil and it's culture. Oh yeah, work the beach like a mad man. I don't know how many times I pulled by simply approaching a girl and asking "voce tem fogo?" or a simple "voce fala ingles"....Blonde hair and blue eyes will also help. I can't imagine a man not having luck by working the beach in Ipanema M-Saturday and then working Lapa friday and saturday nights if you don't hook up with brazilians at the beach...oh yeah, gavea thursday night...I have seen some of the brazilians guys talk shit when you open a group of girls but this was very rare and I never had brazilian buddies pull this crap on me. I hate doing the english pub thing in a faraway land but I have to admit that you can have success at a few of these in rio...Interesting reads though

But I am forcing myself to leave rio this time around and go see a few other cities that you list in the book. Thanks bro

BRAZIL COMPENDIUM

I've talked about Brazil ad nauseum in many posts. It's not only my favorite country in Latin America, but also quite possibly the world.

This is a decent book. I appreciated that Roosh immediately pointed out the difficulty - particularly in relation to the hype - about getting laid in Rio. Rio's mythical status has so many guys believing they will get head from a Carioca the moment they step foot off the plane. It's nothing like that. You have to put in work, and many girls are just average contrary to the hype. Granted, they are very feminine, but there's a startingly high number of "butterfaces" in Rio. There are way more cities in Brazil where the averages are much higher and more attractive than Rio, particularly in the South. Rio's average girl doesn't compare to the average girl you would find in an Argentine city like Cordoba or Rosario, but Rio's hottest girls are among the best you'll find anywhere. However, most of these girls are not within the typical gringo's reach.

I was disappointed that Roosh spent so much time in the North of Brazil, since there's really nothing there for gaming reasons, unless you like poor and unattractive women. It's a tranquil part of the country though and if you just want to relax and check out some nice beaches, that's where you would go. I personally recommend Arembepe in Bahia, which is where I relaxed at a beach house after the Carnaval in Salvador.

For women, I recommend the South (Porto Alegre, Florianopolis, Curitiba, and many lesser known towns in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Parana). Up a little bit north near the center of the country, you have Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte (and other places in the state of Minas Gerais), and of course, Rio de Janeiro.

The typical Argentine is much hotter than the typical Brazilian, but that's because Brazil is much more ethnically diverse.

Roosh should have definitely checked out Florianopolis. They have the hottest girls in Brazil bar none. Other places in the country have hot looking girls as well (many Brazilians claim Porto Alegre to be the best, though they are frigid), but Florianopolis has the beach, so the girls are wearing next to nothing.

Sao Paulo has the best nightlife in Brazil and possibly in all of South America. Great food, restaurants, clubs, bars and people. It also has the best service in Brazil. The city is an eyesore and the average girl isn't as good looking as even those in Rio, but with SP, you really need to have the right contacts and know where to go. If you know the right people, you can have the best time of your life. The high end clubs has some wicked talent. SP to Brazil is like what NYC is to the US. That's where the most ambitious people go to make something of themselves.

Roosh was also astute to point out the truisms of gaming in Brazil.

1) Girls like to kiss FAST. It's almost like a handshake. It's funny because when I was first went to Brazil several years ago, I didn't know any of this. I started making out with a girl and thought I was going to have a flag in my hand that night. At around 4am as we were leaving the party, I tried to weasel her back to my place, only for her to tell me she has work at 7am and can't come home with me.

Kisses are easy, but sex is going to take work. This was in Rio btw.

2) Blonde haired guys are rockstars. Absolutely true. So many anecdotes I could drop so just take my word for it. It's also true that Europeans have generally higher value than Americans. Much more so actually. Brazilians also have a peculiar obsession with Germans. I guess part of that is due to so many of their models, almost always from the South, having German ancestry.

I recommend anyone going to Brazil to NOT stay in a hostel. I never have and the ones there are dingy. You want to get a spot or Couchsurf. I was lucky to have a friend living in Ipanema during my first visit and was able to get easy layups via social circle. Brazilians are extremely sociable people and through knowing locals, your chances of getting laid go up exponentially. Try to use social exchange sites as much as you can. The great thing about Brazilians is that when one introduces you to his/her friend, you automatically become part of that person's social circle as well. If you are active about doing this, you can acquire a fairly large circle in a relatively short amount of time. The longer you stay, the better it is.

That being said, Brazil has been getting more expensive and it doesn't give you more bang for the buck like Argentina (quality of life, not sex). But then again, Brazilians are way more cooler and the vibe is really hard to explain. Be sure to budget wisely or else your spending can get out of control FAST.

I plan to hit up Rio again sometime this Fall. I'd be down to meet up with any forum members and show the ropes to any newbies.

Get this book for a good overview. It definitely lets you know what to expect.

I agree with all your observations, except the one that the Northest is not worth visiting, for their girls. This might be true for some cities(i.e Salvador), but the average girl in Joao Pessoa or Natal IMO, is as good or a bit better looking and thinner than in Rio. Rio gets the rep points because the top end is spectacular and there is nothing like that in the NE.
Most South Americans, who have traveled throughout Brazil, love the NE because the women are more down to earth, friendlier, easier and more genuine. And as I said, there are cities there with plenty of young 6's and 7's, and the occassional 8 or 9 to game. Furthermore, with the increasing westernization(americanization of Brazil), the NE is becoming the last bastion for a true Brazilian experience.
As for going to Floripa, yes I agree there are more stunners there. But the average gamer wont be pulling as much or find as many young girls to bang, as in the NE. Now, if all you want to bang are 8's and above, then yes you wont find that many in the NE. But if you do, they are more accessible than the patricinhas in Sao Paulo or the Southern Areas of Brazil.

There are some "cute" girls in the NE, but I don't think guys who are spending the time and money to get out to Brazil would want girls who are just cute in the 6-7 range. I saw a few when I was in Arembepe (north of Salvador), but I figure for guys who are going to spend the money to get down to Brazil, they want to see some stunners (8's and up). They want to see what the hype is about. The hype isn't about the NE, but it's about Rio's top end and the girls in the South.

Because of that, I think the NE is a waste of time, disagree with me as you may. You are right to point out that the average gamer probably won't pull in the South, especially on a short trip. It's very possible you won't pull if you're only there for a week. Those girls are notoriously difficult, even for Brazilian men who have their shit together. However, it's not nearly as tough as Argentina.

If you follow my social circle advice, you will have it a lot easier in Brazil. Do not stay in a hostel.

Also, there's a high end scene that I think will get you good results. Copacabana Palace has a venue called Bara de Copa. I will be there in the Fall if anyone wants to roll. It's not cheap. You pay about $300R for entry, but you can drink up at the bar and there's going to be some high end talent (even foreign stunners from Russia). If you dress the part and go in with your A-game, you can pull something serious. This is not p4p either.

Hencredible, IMO the average gamer traveling to Brazil for the first time, would rather bang 6's or 7's, than to just see "some stunners". As has been said before it is the unique femininity of brazilian women that make them special; not so much their beauty. You wont feel or get that, if you are not banging them. That is why, to many a foreigner, who is banging a brazilian 6 or 7, it feels like an 8 or 9 back home.
Now, once you have been to Brazil once or twice and with a social circle, you can start going for the higher end girls.

I understand your logic. I don't think Roosh got any flags in the north though. He complained in his book a lot about the women up there, especially the ones in Fortaleza. I think his time would have been better spent in the south. He could have also swapped Vitoria for Floripa. Not every girl in the south is a stunner, but many are. There's also a lower end market where guys can aim for the level they feel comfortable with. I haven't been everywhere in the north but I was very disappointed with Salvador. I was even there for Carnaval and so many of the girls were wack.

Like I said, you can get laid with decent girls in the South and in Rio, but follow the social circle advice and use game to seal the deal.

I honestly think you're better off with girls from DR or Carib Colombian Coast than the north of Brazil. They look better and are also feminine.

Coche, do you have any pics of bangable girls from the North? It could be we have different preferences.

Northern and southern Brazil are two different worlds. Even more so than comparing Alabama with New York. I don't think banging 6's and 7's in the north of Brazil would help you with top tier talent in the south. I think you just gotta have your preferences and go from there. If you like white latinas with gorgeous faces and banging bodies, go south. Get in where you fit in and work your way up. Social circle is key for longer stays. Sao Paulo and Rio have a mix of everything with the typical Paulista or Carioca being of some kind of blend.

The North is mostly girls of African descent to a large degree or at least a fair amount.

It all comes down to what you prefer.

Hencredible, you seem like more of a Southern Brazil expert and I respect that. But you don't seem to know that much about the NE. The farthest south I have been to is Rio and Belo Horizonte. But IMO Belo Horizonte (was there for a couple of months) has a similar vibe and quality(if not better) than farther South. You see more 8 and 9's for sure, but even the 6 and 7's are way harder than in the NE. Roosh, just simply did not go to the best cities in the Northeast. I just spent a day or 2 in Fortaleza and Bahia and for good reason: the quality was sub par. However, in cities like Joao Pessoa, Natal, Belem and even Recife the quality is solid and these cities have an average of 40 percent white population, 40 percent mixed and 20 percent african or mulatto......so there is something for all tastes.
Now if you are blond, tall, european with game.... yes you can do very well in the Southern parts or any part of Brazil, for that matter.
Since I am a Latino American, who looks like a typical Brazilian in Rio, BH, and the Northeast, it would not be such a good idea for me to head further south. That is the reason Roosh didnt head down there....it was hard enough in Rio, where he blended in. He didnt want anyting similar to Argentina, and that is what most foreign gamers without social circle will experience there.
As to what you were saying: why not go to the north coast of Colombia or the Dominican Republic instead? Yes, if you are on a tight budget definitely go there. But you wont get the experience of being with a feminine cute Brazilian girl....which is what Brazil is all about and makes it unique. Furthermore the quality is not better in those parts, by any means. I have been to Cartagena and Santa Marta several times and banged many chicks there. But it doesnt compare to my experience in the NE of Brazil.
This a good discussion...and something possible new travelers to Brazil should keep in mind, before going.

Anyone whos been to Brazil in the last few months have any recent prices? How much for a serviced, short term, apartment in Rio? What's the price of a cheap meal at the local boteco or restaurant? Beer?

Personality wise, I like girls in SP much more than Rio. They lead more interesting and busy lives so there's more to talk about. But I think because SP is such a massive and dense urban city, you see a lot of ugly girls around as well. There isn't a beach, so I don't think there's as much motivation to stay in shape. No doubt Rio has a lot of ugly girls (a surprise to many people) but I think where I was hanging out in the Zona Sul, the average girl was better than what I found in SP.

Roosh wrote an article that's also expressed more fully in the book that I pretty much agree with on this: http://www.rooshv.com/is-sao-paulo-brazi...-the-visit

Yeah I'm no expert on the NE. I plan to explore that area for other reasons because I just like Brazil in general and I have a very good friend in Salvador who looked out when I was there. One of these days I'll make my way up further north and explore some of the Amazon region as well.

BRAZIL COMPENDIUM

One more important point about the North vs the South that forum members should keep in mind: In the NE of Brazil the women actively complain about most of their men: they drink too much, are lazy, broke, uneducated, short and not good looking. The smart good looking men tend to head to Rio or Sao Paulo. So a foreigner with his shit together has a way in, without needing a social circle, because of DHV and little competition.
The South is the polar opposite: It has mainly tall, white, educated males that offer some serious competition, in terms of what girls there are looking for.

BRAZIL COMPENDIUM

I just finished the Brazil Compedium Roosh, great stuff! It took me back to that magical place. I really enjoyed the read, can't believe I waited so long to read it. I found your reports to be very accurate and I experienced a lot of the same things. It sounds like the North is only good for short visits. The furthest north I got was Vitoria. Hanging out at Casa Clube was fun man, too bad the girls were so hard to crack. You mentioned "Swingers" in Belo Horizonte at one point in the book. I'm pretty sure they actually own Sao Firmino too. You threw in two comments of mine off the forum and blog, cool stuff, I never knew! This is great insight, and I would highly recommend it for anybody traveling to Brazil. Great job knockin' out another great guide!

BRAZIL COMPENDIUM

I just ordered Roosh his book Brazil compendium. Anyone who red the book can admit if the things written in the book are still up to date for 2017?
