Car accident/legal help

So I got in a car wreck today. Guy driving aggressively behind me, passed me at an intersection (I stopped, he didn't) then slammed on his brakes when I was behind him. My car impacted his. No damage to his pos pickup, but my car's front end is destroyed.
I have an audio recording of him apologizing and admitting that it was "a dumb thing to do."
He is not aware of the recording, but from what I understand Oregon is a "one-party consent" state regarding recording of conversations.
Can anyone offer some advice for how to proceed? I've already contacted his and my insurance companies.

I've got adjusters from both our insurance companies coming next week. I have full coverage so my car's getting fixed regardless, but I would really rather not have my rates go up. Looking on the bright side, the E30 BMW will be my daily for awhile.

Kind of rough because the rear driver is presumed to be at fault in a rear end collison. Good you have him admitting fault. It will take months to work out. No reason to get the other driver involved, this is between you and your insurance company.

There is a reason why I am hoping to invest in a dash cam. It helps.

The second it happened I'd wished I had a dash cam. I can only hope this guy has a history of accidents/tickets. My history is clean.
Worst case scenario I'll just pay for the damage and fix the car myself. I still drove 80 miles home without any problems. All damage is aesthetic.
