Is this not the stupidest idea ever? It sounds like the start of a zombie movie... bloody hell, bring the equipment and doctors to HIM, not the other way around. Whomever authorized this is probably TRYING to start an epidemic, would not surprise me in the least if this was on purpose.

Not really.
Bacterial and viral pandemics are dangerous because they find ways to infect the very young, the very old, the very sick/malnourished, and people with generally compromised immune systems for one reason or another (which shitty third-world countries are brimming with). Ebola poses no more threat to modern industrialized nations than swine flu did.
Highly lethal infectious agents tend to burn themselves out because they make their carriers sick and kill them before they have much of a chance to pass anything on. The most highly pandemic agents tend to be things that are very benign among the general population, but easily get passed on until they end up in hospitals and nursing homes.

>Ebola thrives most efficiently in warm, humid climates
>bring him to the south
Then bring him to Alaska or something. Are you fist fucking me? Let's hope he doesn't sneeze on all the cocaine while he's in Atlanta or were for sure all dead & gone.

Yes and no. Ebola is highly infectious, but it's only fluid-borne.
The 1919 Spanish Flu killed people who were in fairly good health, as well as the young and old. The Great Influenza is a good book on this, by the way. Anyway, instead of the usual "U" with a flu pandemic, the Spanish Flu had a "W."
With the way things are going in terms of disease (MERS and now this Ebola outbreak), you'd think that the Black Death is right around the corner.
If you're not fucking her, someone else is.

I don't understand why ebola is being downplayed. Ebola can travel through air and there is no vaccine.

But can this strain of Ebola take to the air? The current infectious strain is not airborne.

Why would anyone take the risk with what this might or might not do? Jesus. What a bone-headed move. Really.
