Israel/Gaza - current 'conflict'

If you know it is a school, regardless of whether it is storing weapons, then you should confirm and verify that civilians are gone. If you don't, then you are being reckless with lives of innocents. That is, if you have already been put on notice that Hamas uses civilians as human shields - you know this is a widespread practice - then you shouldn't be launching aerial or projectile attacks on buildings that you know have a high likelihood of inflicting collateral damage.

An analogy: a criminal holds a hostage at gunpoint. The police decide to launch a grenade at the criminal's general vicinity knowing fully well the hostage is endangered. When the hostage happens to die due to collateral damage, the police argue it is the criminal that is morally at fault, not the police. Then the police continue to do this ad infinitum. That is what happening in a microcosm.

Also, there were repeated communications by the UN to Israel asking for safe passage out. Israel denied them.

Again, none of this would happen if Israel used a ground invasion to surgically remove Hamas. It would be long and difficult, and Israel would suffer more casualties, but it most certainly minimize civilian collateral damage and it would probably get the job done of removing Hamas.

One day, that strip of land might get nuked and then it will be too toxic to fight over.

Then the new blame game will be "who ruined the holy land?"

I just read HankRearden's post again and it's so utterly hysterical that it's nearly entering the realm of satire.

He hits all the stereotypical "hysterical Jew" talking points:

1) There is going to be another Holocaust if Israel doesn't massacre hundreds of innocent Palestinians with precision guided munitions!

2) The Palestinians are going to genocide the Jews with their home made rockets, which never kill anyone!

3) Anyone who opposes the massacre of Palestinians is an anti-semite!

4) The pro-Israeli position is the only "right" position and anyone who disagrees is either misinformed, or see above!

He does all this while citing reports and websites written by Jews (literally 7/8 of his links are from Jews. Definitely no bias or anything).

Just remember when you read this sort of hysterical pro Israel propaganda on forums and social media that the JIDF is a real thing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_Inte...ense_Force

I read through Hank's post again, and while I don't agree with everything he says, your characterization of what he wrote is false.

How about making your own argument based on the facts, instead of the usual race-baiting?

I remember 20 freaking years ago the same shit was going on. It never ends. I don't even care anymore though I think Israel gets away with pretty ridiculous stuff because certain people have bought out the US government and media. Really just wish this shit ended so the entire region would STFU. Then we could all go to Tel Aviv and Beirut and fuck bitches, which is what God obviously intended for this region considering he created some of the world's hottest bitches here.
