Broda's Training Wheels

Well it's been a month since I swallowed the red pill and joined the forum. I've been lurking the treasure troves of info and trying to absorb as much as possible. Although many things can be applied directly to my game (or the building of one) some things can't be.

I'm in a unique situation to other members here as I'm mainly in a wheelchair and I have quite a few medical conditions that will require me to adapt my game.

Due to these medical conditions, I can't drink, I can't stand for more than 5 minutes at a time and I can't stay up very late. (I can elaborate if needed)

I'm headed to my first year of university at the end of August and I am really trying to build up as much game as I can before then.

I really just wanted to introduce myself, thank you guys for the glorious stories and experiences, and ask if there's anything that can be applied to my game specifically then I'd love to hear it.

TL;DR New here. Medical conditions resulting in needing to adapt game from the "norm".

[Listen to this podcast: http://www.daygame.com/2010/podcast/the-...aygame-hq/ There's a daygame.com instructor that's in a wheelchair and he goes hard. I'd suggest you focus on daygame. Check out Krauser's Daygame site, his book for beginners, Tom Torero's video with Krauser on Male value and Justin Wayne's ridiculous super powers Also peep Giovanny's posts. This thread speaks for his respect as a good source of daygame advice. Listen to this podcast with him interviewed on Christian McQueen's show]

[Sounds like daygame would work well for you then since you wouldn't need to do any of that]

[Cool stuff - check out this post too, in case you haven't seen it yet. Game is hard. Your pain period may or may not be as long as mine (which is still ongoing) so prepare to invest a good amount of time becoming awesome.]

Thanks a lot Byron, I'll definitely look through those links. I'm headed to hang out at my buddies place in a few hours and then were going to go out for a bit so hopefully there will be some potential.

Good luck with your log, it's been a pleasure to read!

Welcome to the forum Broda!

I'm ecstatic to see men seeking self-improvement no matter what cards they were dealt.

And then there are the dudes who have everything that god (or whomever) gave them; and they STILL DON'T APPROACH.

I started doing day game a bit back after starting out with nightgame. Some facts: Daygame is MUCH more difficult than nightgame and street approaches are the lowest odds in daygame. This is pretty much what I do nowadays because it is in fact HARD. I'm just saying REALIZE this and don't be so hard on yourself. I still put unnecessary pressure on myself without realizing how low the odds are.

Just keep going with the approaches. Before college starts, hit up malls. When you get there, being on campus actually should increase your odds; for example, you can easily run game on girls in class.

Check out forum member Hans Dix's College game blog. I don't see why you can't use most things he writes about.

IRT take note.

Thanks Cobra,

I think one of the biggest assets to my game will be the "idgaf mentality" not letting the chair rule your life. I know of and see many that have happened get the short straw that become quite sour and "white knightish" but the select few that I've come across are able to flip the script and seem to be quite successful.

There are some benefits that have become apparent though which is nice, even with the limited amount of experience I have noticed that I can get away with more, and girls don't get that "deer in the headlights look" when I approach.

Went out to grab some food after hanging out with a couple friends. My phone (gonna need to get a new one, battery doesn't hold much of a charge anymore)~ was about to die so I left it plugged in while we went out.

There was a McDonald's just down the road so we just decided to go there. As we walk in I see this girl working as a cashier, (fiery red hair, pretty pale, quite short and really petite - solid 7) realize i don't have my phone on me so I nudge one of my friends to give me his. He hands it over and we approach the cash, two lines open so we split - (I'll give you one guess what line I'm in).

I remembered reading a post by El Mech about fast food game but the only part I could remember was ".. and your McDigits." In light of my earlier post about needing an "idgaf mentality" and being able to get away with more, I harnessed the essence of El Mech.

Her: "Hii - standard McDonald's opener - "
Me: "Hey, how are you? I'll have a McChicken meal with a root beer and a side of your finest McDigits."~
*hand her the phone, she looks around a bit and then she takes it*
Her: "*giggles as typing her number* Is that for here or to go? "
Me: "Depends what "that" were talking about here"
Her: "*laughs* Well that's all up to you isn't it"
Me: "Food for here, you to go"
Her: "Good choice, I'll come over to your table and we can talk on my break."
*take the tray and head over to the table*

Notes so far:
~ Although it worked out this time, logistics logistics logistics - with out my friend's phone this wouldn't have gone the same way.
~ In reflection of the approach I'm doubtful that this would have worked without my "situation", not to say it was a pity thing (which I'm sure will happen along the way) but I think it's the "idgaf why should you" thing.

She came over when we were done eating and we talked a bit. Got a little more info on her, 5'2", turns 18 in early august, just moved here. It's looking good, set up for next week but no firm details yet. I have a bonfire camp out to go to in a week, no way I'm letting the iron get any less "red hot" by waiting but that could be a good day 2.

+1 for El Mech

Broda,

Awesome to see you getting after it and seeking to improve yourself no matter what. You definitely seem to have the right attitude and that approach story is gold. Keep it up man!

Thanks Mongo, I think I'll repost it in the approach thread - hopefully it'll be a fun journey (provided I have the battery to get there [Image: tongue.gif] )
