It's never reported. Nobody ever knows about it because the auditing of these systems is incredibly weak. The fact that your private images, records of your private lives, records of your intimate moments have been taken from your private communications stream from the intended recipient and given to the government without any specific authorization without any specific need is itself a violation of your rights. Why is that in a government database?”

Hell, back when I used to work in photo labs as a teenager, we'd regularly make copies of nudes and pass them around, even though that's highly illegal. People would bring in disposable cameras full of debaucherous nights in hotel rooms and shit.

My first job out of college in the early 90's at a defense contractor. My boss showed me how to use our equipment to intercept cell phone calls. He said at his last job they used to do that routinely to alleviate boredom. If the NSA can do it, then the contractors building stuff for them can do it too.
