Men are also allowed to receive extra credit, as long as they shave their bodies from the neck down.

Female Arizona State University students can receive extra credit for defying social norms and refusing to shave for 10 weeks during the semester.

Women and Gender Studies Professor Breanne Fahs, encourages her female students to cease shaving their underarms and legs during the semester and document their experiences in a journal

Quote:Quote:

“The experience helped me better understand how pervasive gendered socialization is in our culture. Furthermore, by doing this kind of activist project I was no longer an armchair activist theorizing in the classroom.” she said. “So much is learned by actually taking part in the theory or idea we learn in the classroom, and we could benefit from this type of pedagogy being taken up by similar classes.”

Those activists will certainly change the world, as well as the fact that child-like appearance as a indicator of youth is hard-wired attractiveness in male brains.

If a girl comes over, and I feel she hasn't shaved her legs in a while, I start petting them like a cat.

They always shave em' after that. [Image: icon_lol.gif]

So, every male action movie star of the last 20 years, bar the Superman guy, and he had to argue for keeping his chest hair?

Ironically, this happened with my regular a few days ago. I was just petting her legs, her legs are slick but she busted out saying "don't do it, I need to shave my legs".

I was like "they're slick, but if you insist..."

Pretty sure that ceasing to do some small hygiene task, and thinking you're improving the balance of social equality by doing so, is textbook armchair activism.

PHEW! Breath of fresh air.

Why is it that, at least among the young and educated, leftists tend to care so much less about their appearance?

They hate truth, beauty and success, because aspiration requires hard work and effort, and not everyone gets a trophy.

I pity those who have to pay to go to this so called university. I mean, for fuck's sake, I'd rather go to college in a third world country and bang a bunch of chicks who shave their armpits and don't have tatoos.

Yes, they themselves can violate social norms, then get on OKCupid and devise a profile with 386 qualifications, all designed to hammer men into the most conformist of social ideals.

Rollo Tomassi wrote a smart essay on the hypocrisy of this subject in 2011. An excerpt:

"Ladies, name the physical attribute(s), and there’s a fan-group just waiting to bang you. Rule 34 was never more provable than in men’s willingness to fuck damn near any physical demographic of women – just ask the female midgets catering to that fetish of porn.

On the other hand, from a purely physical perspective, it’s women’s idealized masculine form that hasn’t changed in millennia."

Her biggest regret is that "neck down" inspection day comes but twice a year.

Ugh.

Most of the college girls that I've met in third world countries don't shave their armpits.

Are they even allowed to do this? Surely part of your grade cannot be based upon your appearance. Although it is extra credit, someone could still argue that it is discrimination. If nothing else, there must be a religious group out there that outlaws shaving your body and they could sue for religious discrimination. How can they insist upon neck down inspections? That's got to be sexual harassment of some form.

This has to be illegal. What if I'm a male student who doesn't want to shave himself, or a female student who likes keeping her armpits without hair? Am I supposed to lose the potential credits just because of how I look? The hypocrisy is astounding, yet I'm not surprised anymore at seeing retarded cases like this.

It's not illegal, because it is only an extra credit opportunity. It doesn't figure into your final grade if you don't do it.

I gotta admit I don't get it.

Say it's usually possible to get 100 points during a course. Say you're a student who has done reasonably well and collects 85.

Now say an extra opportunity appears so it's possible to get 108 points. Say your colleague with the same results as you shaves his body. He now has 93, whereas you have 85.

He ranks higher than you just because of the way his body looks.

Isn't that discrimination?

I'll have to dig up the link, but I remember reading about a study where researchers showed students pictures of female politicians and had them guess as to whether the female in the picture was liberal or conservative. The students were, with a surprising degree of accuracy, able to guess correctly.

The researchers discovered that the heuristic being used by the students was this: if the female politician was attractive, she was likely conservative, if she was ugly, she was likely liberal. Needless to say when the study's findings made the news it caused a shitstorm of liberal butt-hurt.

Seriously, that is the most worthless collection of made up credentials I've ever seen. Attention young people of N. America: universities are NOT on your side. They extort massive tuitions from you to keep worthless people like this fat.
