If you're coming to the UK as a foreigner, you'll have to accept that in most girl's minds there are 2-3 'types' of foreigners.

1. White or Hispanic guys who speak English. You will be able to pull at any type of university (more on that in a minute). If you're a good looking, muscly hispanic guy who speaks very good english AND Spanish you will go far.

2. White guys who don't speak good English, black dudes and Asians. You will have your best chances in places such as London, Oxford and Manchester where the students are more open-minded. In these cities there are also more than 1 universities, so the party scene is more mixed.

3. Foreigners from perceived 'bad' countries. India, Pakistan, Somalia, poor Caribbean countries. They don't really speak English and often have no good attributes e.g. no muscle, not very polite, etc..

And what about a dark mediterranean guy, very good looking, tall and muscly but with bad english and spanish? A guy that looks exactly like this https://www.facebook.com/dreamboysuk/pho...=3&theater
but with bad english and even worse spanish, how will he do in england?

Does Europe have the equivalent of America's Spring Break?

Is there a certain time when all the college kids go party wild (beside the summer), and where do they go?

I have a friend studying at Uppsala at the moment, Australian guy of Italian descent. He's having a great time but the quality of the girls in his Facebook pictures is pretty average. Still a lot better than Australian girls but I would not put up with Scandinavian costs and weather for that. The Nation dinners look sick though.

Pretty much no. Just the summer. People don't really travel for Easter holidays in Europe because it's still somewhat cold even in the Southern countries. They'll just save the money and go in the summer instead.

And after summer it's too cold again.

Lund was awesome. There is a decent party every night at one of the Nations, more than enough beautiful women for everyone, awesome research centers and industry connectivity, etc, etc. Wednesdays and the weekends were crazy nights with people drinking from evening sitnings all through until late at the afterparties.

Its 15min from Malmo which is also a great city with non students as well as a large university of its own that had a lot of attractive women. And from Malmo Copenhagen is 20min away which is also a great city and has lots of students and some of the best house parties I have even been to have been in Copenhagen.

Thanks for the feedback, I've read your threads a while back and they are definately part of my inspiration for Swedish college life. I suppose my main question for the board is: if you had a choice between a year in Uppsala or Lund, which one would you pick if purely in terms of women? (Obviously this would be a bad life decision for anyone based on solely that, but still I am curious)

Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam could be cool for meeting chicks too.
But man, they are difficult, once I tried to get info on studying medicine at Erasmus and they replid how rigid and tough studying in their college was, I felt like talking to Harvard or Oxford.
It's maybe the first or second uni in research in all of Europe, getting in as a student there would be almost impossible I'd think.

I studied medicine in that university.
There are almost no non-dutch students.
Haven't banged many other medical students, you know, don't shit where you eat.

Yeah it's very tough for non-Dutch students to get in scientific faculties in Nederland, especially in Erasmus Rotterdam.
I haven't met any Dutch girls yet, but from what I've seen in average Dutch girls is that she would tend to be smart, stylish and rather feminine , not to the degree of Russian girls, but certainly way hotter than German girls.
Their attitude is more like Norwegian girls I'd say.
You're right, I wouldn't want to be around medical student girls much, [Image: lol.gif] girls of other faculties would tend to take care of themselves more, I think.
I feel that Dutch girls are very much long term material, well not as much as EE women, but on a much greater degree than German, Danish or Belgian women for instance.

I think the talent and quality in Lund are more concentrated in the university, since it's a small university town, and you have to consider that many of it's students are international, since most of the scholarships Sweden gives out to international students come from Lund university.
The Swedish talent is more concentrated in Uppsala, since it is a bigger city, it's university is bigger and has less international students, but knowing to speak Swedish in Uppsala is more vital and necessary if you want to score well.
Lund is more cosmopolitan, more like Stockholm, speaking solely English could get you more in Lund than in Uppsala, but the possibility of finding a Swedish hot chick is greater in Uppsala than Lund, that's what I think.
If Swedish chicks are mainly what you're looking for to date, then Uppsala would be a better option.
But if what you're looking for is hot girls, irrespective of nationality, then Lund might be a wiser option.

Thanks for the reply. And when does summer typically begin for students in Europe? I may want to travel in May is that too early?

Any scoop on up and coming summer destinations?

If it hasn't been mentioned yet, Freiburg, Germany is a good one. Small enough town that everything is walkable, very few tourists, very large student population of seemingly 60% women...

Northern University Cities in the UK (Leeds,Manchester,Newcastle, Nottingham (Midlands) all have great nightlife, you can go out 5-6 nights a week and fill your boots.

Nottingham is renowned for having a great ratio.

As with anywhere in England the girls are going to be easy but not the best quality.

Why do you think studying in the UK is overrated?

And overall this thread deserves some more replies. Next Semester I will stay in Spain with Erasmus. I've visited a student-only place in Trondheim (Norway) last fall that is really promising, I've visited a student party in Budapest last fall that was really good, saw some other student places in Europe that are good but all in short stints and that is why I look forward for the next semester.

As a Spaniard studying in a UK student city, I can say it's totally overrated. Relatively high priced nightlife, massive cockfests and mostly unapproachable girls. I studied in Poland for 8 months and it was so much better.

What city in Spain are you going to? The Erasmus scene in my home city, Valencia is great, much better than the regular snobby nights out that many locals prefer.
were you doing erasmus in Poland? or do you go as a "freemover" whenever you want?

I do not think we have college towns comparable to ASU, Penn State or USBC, but most 'smaller towns' with a university in it is a guaranteed week of fun - at least in the Netherlands and the UK it is. In these towns, do not hit clubs, but go to student bars. Plenty of 8s are partying there on any given night of the week. And the best part is that they do not expect you to buy champagne or another fancy drink.

They're mostly unapproachable in the venues I've been to here in Sheffield (I can't speak of any other UK cities). It's mostly large, mixed groups doing their own thing. By contrast in Poland it wasn't hard to find girls who would go out in small groups of 2 or 3, specially during week nights. In addition although you do find some stunners, the average girl here is probably 10 lbs overweight and doesn't dress too good either. The talent is not as bad as I expected but it was better in Poland and specially Belarus. [Image: undecided.gif]

On the bright side, I didn't came here for the girls anyway and I'm more motivated in other aspects.
