Traveling to Europe solo (with Tinder)

I'm in week 2 of Tinder, and I still consider it to be life-changing. I'm also kicking myself for being such a late adapter. I'm a peculiar case, I think. Classic white American guy - tall, handsome, good career, fit, and great in one-on-one conversation. For some reason though I've always been below average at bars or parties - have worked to overcome that and I think my trepidation still stems from an awkward teenage and even college time for me, when I was very skinny, very pimply, etc. I didn't fill out and get decent looking until my mid-20's and so walking into a crowded or hopping club/bar trying to night game still makes me feel nervous and dorky. But you could put me solo with Scarlett Johansson and I feel like I could get her back to my place and out of her panties within 2 hours. Weird, I know.

Anyways, I've got a ton of Delta miles and Hilton Honors points that are long overdue for usage, and I'd like to take a trip this August before NFL season kicks off.

Anybody want to recommend (from my rankings or feel free to suggest other cities/countries) the strongest destination where Tinder is popular/hip and the cultural sites are strong? Primary goal would be to get my dick wet at least 3-4 times in a 2-week span. Secondary goal would be to rest up, see some historical sites, etc.

Here are my top 7

1. Rome / Venice / Florence
2. Amsterdam / Belgium
3. Prague / Eastern Germany
4. Tokyo
5. Paris / London
6. Spain / Portugal
7. Any of the Nordic countries (so into the Nordic women.. but is Tinder there?)

I've been to Paris and London 3 times each and haven't been to any of the others, but if Tinder is exploding in Paris/London it would be a shame not to exploit that.

I'm only into white girls, so Tokyo would be predicated on hitting up foreign white women in Japan.

Thoughts greatly appreciated. Would also be interested in meeting up with Rooshers.

ETA: Have iPhone with ATT plan - am assuming since my flight and hotels will be free and if I'm willing to drop $400 or so on prepaid Euro data that Tinder would work in EU or Tokyo?

Just get a local SIM Card for a few Euros. No reason to spend $400 on roaming... I hope that wasn't serious.

Tinder wasn't working for me in Amsterdam.

Do not rely on Tinder in Europe. A very small percentage of cell phone users has it and those that do aren't particularly active. It's nothing like in North America.

Heck, don't rely on online dating at all in Europe I say unless you're in for a month or longer.

A lot of recent articles contradict this fwiw - it's apparently booming in Amsterdam. also I'm apparently having some of the best success of anybody on tinder from what I'm reading on the forum - some of you lot are writing it off completely but I'm filling my calendar with chicas that make my dick hard so consider that as well I suppose.

Of course it is.

Just get a local prepaid sim card like Mike O'Brien suggested.

Tinder is really bad in Tokyo and so is OkCupid. I guess there are some hot white girls in Tokyo in certain clubs, but they're pretty sparse and are usually in large groups (and you stated that you're anxious in clubs). Tokyo is a truly terrible place to go if you only like white girls (but amazing if you like Asians). I don't think you should be relying so much on online dating sites especially if you're traveling. Personally I find it WAY more fulfilling to pick up a girl from a bar or in the street than from online. It feels more organic that way.

Oh I'm not writing off Tinder, just Tinder in Europe as a whole. Having seen both sides due to my extensive travel in NA I can say it doesn't have anywhere near the NA user base here. I only use it for pipelining as I like to hit the ground running for the first few days in a new place while I get my feet wet. I'd say you're still getting 2nd rate snatch to what you'd get if you ran ordinary this time of year, especially northern Europe since everyone is coming out of their caves.

But hey, if you can make it work do write up a full report when you've travelled the continent.

Dont hit the Med in August if you are after locals. Its tourist only season, and most of the cities empty out.

Id sat hit the lakes in Slovakia, some of the Greek isles for Scandi women (or just stay in Gotland the whole time).

Personally:

1. Rome / Venice / Florence Fuck that. Tourists lined up down the streets and shops mostly closed
2. Amsterdam / Belgium Holland is good. Doubt they do much online dating though. Friesland has some of my favorite women in Europe.
3. Prague / Eastern Germany Slovakian lake district.
4. TokyoFuck yeah, but summer is the Devils Scrotum there. Go back in Spring or fall.
5. Paris / London Sure, why not. Great cities.
6. Spain / PortugalSan Sebastian, Biarritz. Or Algarve.
7. Any of the Nordic countries (so into the Nordic women.. but is Tinder there?) Gotland. Visby. Day Clubs and Swedish girls partying.

Big in Norway. Especially where I live. There was a huge Tinder boom about 6 months ago. Its quieter now, but still a lot of talent. Only problem is that it's a small country population wise, and cities can be far and between.

Hi
Tinder exploded in Paris lately and last time I went to London, I got 20 matchs in the first hour.
Paris is pretty dead in August though, so maybe not the best time to meet locals.

Absolutely - Tinder is very popular in the few UK cities I've spent any time in.

I don't think this is true. I've been to Paris a couple of times in the autumn and it's been excellent, particularly if you're willing to go into the slightly more niche areas.

I like your idea, but it will be smarter if you actually pipeline with Tinder instead of waiting to arrive at your destinations to start swiping. Check out the Tinder thread on the game section, there are posts explaining how you spoof your GPS location on your cell phone (or tab). Your phone thinks you're in a given European city and you can see for yourself how popular the app is there, what kind of reception you will get and, even better, you can start getting matches and talking to them, getting numbers, arranging meet ups while still in America.

Since Tinder is such an important component of your trip, I would definitely do that.

Consider context. Perspective.

Coming for Europe for the first time would you recommend Tinder as the main vehicle for sourcing snatch? Heck, you should be out among all the great sights and taking it in. If there's a local within game spitting distance have at it and give her a chance to offer herself as your guide.

Pipelining is fine but online dating is best saved to the 2nd+ visit.

If the OP is concerned about having enough time to see the crown jewels I'd suggest he does the online game legwork before the trip.

I imagine if I ever get into solo trips, I'll be even more inclined to use the net, including Tinder.

Anyway, this is aside from your original point which I saw as more important to respond to. I took issue with your belief that Tinder isn't popular in Europe - I'm still confident it's very widely used in London and other people seem to have had positive experiences with it in the city.

I just did a Buda & Poznan tinder cycling for few days. Interesting view of local talent. Not that they were biting, but interesting "views"

Online dating is terrible in Europe.

If it were good, you wouldn't have everybody doing night and day game. I suggest you leave the house and run some actual game.

Download a GPS spoofer app, then you can set your Tinder to any location you want and check it out for yourself before making any decisions.

You can also pipeline using couchsurfing. Don't rely on online to get your bangs. Half the fun is exploring a new country and using day/night game to make it happen. The bangs provide more satisfaction when you make a cold approach.

Avoid Tinder in Italy and I would say in all South Europe.
Nobody use it. I remember the first time I saw the word "tinder" in a pick up forum I had to google the word because I didn't have a clue of what it meant.

That was some months ago but the situation didn't change at all. Girls don't use online dating a lot and the ones who use those apps are considered desperate and needy because they can't find a guy in real life.

In London it works great though

You can and perhaps should pipeline with all the major free online dating sites active in your target country--both the international ones like OK Cupid and POF and ones which are local to that country. Do a Google search for
online dating search X
where X is the name of the country you are interested in (and of course travel threads here at Roosh V forum may include that information)
