Frank Lloyd Wright's handwriting (cursive) is pretty much crap so I dunno about the creativity thing. Or am I missing something?
As for myself, I barely pick up a pen for anything anymore so writing anything may be a challenge. lolzzz
Seriously, I do agree that I am much more creative when writing versus typing something out here. In the past I would actually write things out then type it into the puter.
Apropos Frank Lloyd Wright, when I was a child, doctors' prescriptions were always written in long hand. Most doctors' handwriting was almost impossible to read, but somehow pharmacists understood it (perhaps because there was a limited "vocabulary" they needed to consider, just distinguishing between few possibilities). I doubt, however, that doctors were lacking creative abilities. The issue, per the original OP cited article, is not about clear or beautiful handwriting but rather about activating your brain more fully, starting as a child, by learning how to write by hand. As a by-product, learning how to read others' handwriting probably helps too.
