I don't think so, most models are not exceptionally beautiful. As in the VS or runway models even the more pretty ones like Tyra Banks lets say are not that much better looking than say bikini model or just average attractive girl.
Realise for every supermodel there are probably 50-100 other women who are as equally or more attractive who maybe are just not tall enough, or can't stop eating food, or have other commitments or something else that prevents them from coming a model.
I dated 2 models in my entire life and met them both through school. Without makeup and everything they are not knockouts or anything, no adriana limas or nothing, in fact most tall girls are less attractive which is why the few hot ones are so famous.
Now if you're trying to get adriana lima, yes you will need money just to be in the same room, but if you're trying to pick up her sister or equally hot cousin who just never made it and is middle class, IDTS

Thanks bluewater, Unfortunately I live in a shitty city called toronto that is always cold or excessively humid in the summer but anyways lacks models in abudance like nyc, miami, cali and other places where women make a 50% of effort to look nice.

I don't know, it seems like most models I've come across - you know, girls who do photo shoots to make extra money but in no way make big bucks off of it - tend to come off as stuck-up bitches.
If you judge them by their online profiles 100% agree, my exs profile make them come across as totally unapproachable bitches. The reality is they don't even get approached by men all that often, even when I was just friends with them. If you meet them online I agree they'd come off that way, which is why I want to meet models, ideally offline and in real person because for whatever reason online turns women who are 2,3 and 4 into 8,9 and 10 who think men are their to line the streets for them to walk on. I can say 100% had I approached any of my exs online I'd not even get a reply, in fact I barely did any work to get them as I did not even know game them never even heard of it. i just knew they liked me and asked if they wanted to make out and then asked them out after. I guess some women get some kind of cruel feel good butterflies by acting stuck up and bitch like to men they know they will never see again. Like if there was some kind of class/place that all models go to on a recurring basis, where a man could get in on, that be the ideal place to pick up women, you know something like a school for models. That gives me an idea, maybe everyone in toronto should pitch in to put together a weekend fashion show and use it as an excuse to pick up models, sounds good to me, LOL, I'm an evil genius

Go through the club photos posted online. Its pretty easy to see which ones have real models hanging out at and which ones don't.

How about approaching pretty girls without model experience and offering them free shots? (you get to build the portfolio and they get nice pictures for their facebook) If you want to go this route, I think you should at least have a business card with a website that has some decent portfolio.

Yeah unless you can make money by selling the photos (but where?) or get it for free then even at a very cheap $25 an hour, you'd be broke very quickly

After being inspired by the banging models in Argentina post on this forum, I decided to try it out myself.
I will say this, meeting the models can be done, and for free. I have met a lot of hot ass models, and haven't paid a dime for it. Some lies where obviously sprinkled in to achieve that, but I find it rather funny that people are paying money to shoot the models when you can do it for free.

fashion events are great to meet models too. chicago has this thing called Style Chicago where a lot of under the radar models are trying to make their way up. one of my friends is a journalist and gets me into some of these free of charge and the models are generally in the 8 or 8.5 range.
if you can find these events in your city, theyre worth a look. I would imagine LA and NYC and Miami would be prime spots for things like this. Anyone else have incite on these things in other cities?

Can you actually PICK UP models at these events or will they give you the stink eye and security throw you out 5 minutes later? Can people actually buy tickets or is it invite only?
plenty of events are for fundraisers so buying a ticket automatically gets you in. dress for the occasion and i think you can certainly get noticed. the fact that youre there is DHV. there are often many afterparties and preparties associated with these as well. being there only gives you an advantage. i met a model who was supposed to star on a tv show before it was cancelled and her shield was way down.

Maybe I'm more of a swimsuit model guy, its a totally different thing because they are curvy and have shapes that are not just tall straight and narrow and flat chested. Runway models are only attractive to me if they have a pretty face like adriana lima or lucia rodriguez but only when they look certain ways too.

For sure, especially when you go with your camera guy and have a press pass. Models hand you their contact details without you even asking.

Best way is to be part of the press. We had a simple wordpress blog, with some pictures and videos from local fashion events. Whenever other fashion events popped up, we would email the people in charge and have them add us to their "press list". This was money because we wouldn't have to pay the $100+ cover price for some of these events and being part of the press got us backstage with the models hehe, can some body say winning!

The majority of the models I've seen in Miami Beach don't look much better than non-model girls who get hired because of their looks to be bartenders, waitresses, working in the nightclubs, etc. There are some exceptions, but I haven't many that truly stand out.
If you go out on the beach in the morning you can see lots of fairly normal looking girls on the sand with photographers.

Every major university has hundreds, if not thousands of girls who could potentially be models. The school near my house has 25k students, half of which are women. Thats 12,000 girls who are between 18-25. There is a model looking chick in almost every class.
