As we all know, the internet is crawling with mail-order bride scams, western union requests etc. In addition to that VK is useful but it's more like Facebook so your odds of finding someone are a little slimmer as well.

Does anyone know any russian dating sites like POF, Zoosk, OKcupid etc. I feel like these could be useful to set up a meeting or two

The travel section on mamba.ru is totally worthless. I messaged dozen's of girls there with creative replies in both Russian and English and got very little feedback. Also, same girls keep rotating their profiles in and out, changing their looks a bit (so they catch you offguard) and responses tend to be low so the key is to catch them when they are online! My Belarus "GF" told me that before I found her she was getting an avg of around 200 guys messaging her per day and had even stopped checking her account. I honestly would recommend just hitting up bars/clubs that attract expat groupies. For example in Kiev it is Shooters, in Minsk I hear it is Nex (though the pros love it as well), in Vilnius it is Buddha. Not sure about Moscow though, perhaps some other members can chime-in.

Thanks for the reply guys. I plan on traveling to Moscow, Kazan and Perm soon and I'm just trying to do some pre-gaming to make the trip more fun.

I have some good money to spend on this trip so even if I can find a pro that is better looking than a pro here and likes an American I guess I'll settle for it. But of course that wouldn't be my first option.
