There doesn't seem to be a "Best comments" thread. I'll start one. Good comments get voted up but if an article has hundreds of comments, it's hard to see anything else besides the first good comment.
"Lance Christopher" is becoming my favorite commenter. Here he is on the Elliot Rodger article:

While what Mr. Elliot did was wrong, I can somewhat understand his disposition. The world he lived in, lacked substance. It lacked moral, spiritual, and intellectual substance and even character. To him his brief existence was one of nihilistic materialism and shallow narcissistic sluts who lack empathy, character and probably souls. Yes we can all levy the criticism against the poor son of a bitch as him lacking "game." But I'm sure the rabbit-hole runs much deeper than that. Living in a world where the entire construct is based on crass superficiality must be a miserable existence. His problem is, he couldn't cope with the nefarious nature of women and the beta males that seek to placate them even with the much vaunted "game" we all propagate on here. I personally take a little issue with the fact that all it takes is to have a little "game" and everything will be "alright."
Yes game, gets us laid, but at the end of the day, it still does not take away the fact, that we live in a modern world of soulless people without any real character, with the vast majority of them being women. This guy despite his family's relative preeminence truly wanted to believe in a world of good people, mainly a world of decent women and when the mask was finally pulled off, it was too much for him to bear. His reaction was psychopathic but I don't know if it's that much worse than the beta simps who seek to placate women by allowing them to run carte-blanche over their fellow man or even some of the "alphas" who revel in PUA. Point is, both worlds are gynocentric. This gynocentric world was a bridge too far for Mr. Elliot.
