Iceland - Serbia - Bulgaria- Slovenia 3 months

Hey Guys, I've been a lurker for a while but have decided to start my first thread and hopefully will be contributing content in the months to come.

Synopsis: I am planning a 3 month vacation from mid-July to Late October and will be spending minimum of 2 weeks in Iceland, Serbia (Belgrade specifically) and Bulgaria (Varna) and Slovenia (Ljublana). This trip is 60% culture 40% women orientated in nature.

About me
: Black Canadian , age 27 (but can pass for 19-22) 5"11 athletic build. Decent looking.

Before anyone says anything about looking through the threads and using search feature I've done so already, just looking to inject some fresh discussion and options for myself and others who may be travelling this summer to these destinations (regardless of black or white). Also would like to give a shout out to rudebwoy, Djemba Djemba, mbare just to name a few who've partially help motivate me to travel and experience new culture and women [Image: wink.gif]. Any advice is appreciated, and if anyone is going to be in any of these places maybe we could meet up and pool resources.

I was going to troll you but since you gave me a shout out, I will allow you.
What info are you looking for? It is all here for you to read, I did a post on Iceland. I was there twice in one year and loved the place, both from a scenic view and the women who are sexy.

When are you going to be in Belgrade? I might return to the Balkans this year.

Bulgaria and Slovenia are interesting destinations.

Appreciate response, I'm no troll, have read extensively in these past 4-5 months. Not so much looking for info but more to get some ideas as to itinerary and making connections with locals or RVFers living in these places. I'm hitting up Belgrade for Beerfest between Aug 13-27 prolly then planning on heading to Bulgaria Black Sea maybe Sozopol/Varna. I'm booking hostels and airbnb along the way. And as for Slovenia will probably be late september early October when all the University students are back [Image: wink.gif]. Plus I hear Slovenian girls like Spanish guys and Black guys, so we'll see.

I would hit Bulgaria in August, the beach destinations are hot and will be full of Euro tourist girls. I know a few Hungarian girls that hit up this region every year for holidays, with their families of course.
Once September hits I would check out Slovenia and make my way down to Serbia (Belgrade) for mid September.
Then on my way home I would check out Iceland, check out when Iceland Airwaves festival begins. I was there for that and alot of girls come out to play.

I would not stay in a hostel, to me you are cockblocking yourself by doing that. I would only do private apartments which should be affordable in all of the places except Iceland.

As for girls liking black guys/spanish guys, don't put too much stock into that. I know some black dudes that get love in country X and a next black guy get no love in the same country.
Be humble and be relaxed, learn a few words in the language and that will take you along way.
Girls lose their shirts when I drop a few flawless hungarian phrases!

I'm definitely going to make an effort to learn a few phrases of the local language for sure as a sign of respect for their culture. I still have to think about where I'm going to be and when, however Iceland is not negotiable in terms of time period because I've already booked my flight for July and booked a hostel AND an apartment close to each other to get the best of both worlds on the main drag in Reykjavik. Have heard great things about Beerfest in Belgrade so I want to do that and will probably visit Oktoberfest in Germany in September as well. Again this trip is not 100% girl related maybe 70% culture 30% girls. I just want to get out of Canada and see the world, Canadian are starting to piss me off with their mentality. Anyways thanks again for taking the time to reply man.

Iceland is quite in the summertime, many gals go away.

Beer Festivals equal tons of dudes, who will probably be drunk and rowdy.

That's ok, as you said you are going for "culture" mostly.

The best advice I can give you about Iceland if you're planning to spend 2 weeks there is to bring a book. I stayed there for 2.5 weeks the first time I went. There is NOTHING to do in Reykjavik except on Friday and Saturday night. Thursday night is okay but things close early. Definitely leave Reykjavik during the week. The nature in Iceland is amazing.

The nature in Iceland is half the reason I'm going. My plan is to just chill out and kick around Reykjavik for the first week, chill in the hostel and the apartment I rented out and talk to some females. The second week I plan to rent a car and travel the ring road for 6-8 days and see all the different sites.

Sounds like you've done your research. While there's not much of anything going on in Reykjavik during the week socially, there is plenty to do/see. The Golden Circle is a nice trip, even better if you have the time to travel further. The landscape in Iceland is simply majestic. The Blue Lagoon, a tourist trap, but still worth experiencing regardless. My friend and I also rented ATV 4X4 (quads) during our first trip. We were shit faced from the night before, so it was pretty intense at first. But the sights you see....especially the black sand beach...priceless! You can also hire a guide, and a 45 minute hike will take you to hidden thermal pools in the middle of nature. So you're on the right path...if you go just to party it can be boring during the week.

Onto the debauchery known as the Reykjavik nightlife....

Thursdays are known as 'Little Friday.' The Bars do close around 1 am, but still a fun night. Sundays can be good too, if you know where to look. We would start off at The English Pub, and end up back at The Big Lebowski. My friends both got their flags there! A good tip, is logistics is EVERYTHING. You need to stay within a stones throw from the venues you will be socializing at. Lost a few flags because we stayed further away, even though it was a 10 minute walk. Check google maps for this! My second trip we stayed at 2 bedroom apartment: http://www.roomwithaview.is Perfect location!!

Have fun!!

Thanks for the info man, I've booked a place and hostel within about a 5 min walking radius in Reykjavik, so I'm close to all the good pubs/clubs. When were you in Iceland and how long did you stay for? Did you stay in a hostel?

Iceland is a beautiful country, the beauty is best seen in the winter. Next time I will try and see Northern Lights.
Jumping in the Blue Lagoon while the mercury is below freezing was one of the highlights, I can't understand why people knock the place. Yes it is a tourist trap and it was pricey $50, but it ain't something you do everyday.
I even climbed the mountain across from the city, so it wasn't all about the gals.

Both times I visited Iceland were the first week of September. Will be going back this October, along with Helsinki and Prague. Are you flying with Icelandair? If not, check out their stop-over program. You can fly any where Icelandair goes for next to nothing.

I'm in my early thirties, so a hostel was not an option haha. The first trip we stayed at a small apartment on 71 Laugavegur (which is considered the main street in Reykjavik) Second trip we booked a two bedroom apartment with roomwithaview.is since there was 3 of us. Apartments can be pricey in Iceland, but I feel they're well worth it.

I'd highly recommend stopping by the duty free and picking up the maximum allotted alcoholic beverages for pre & post gaming. When you arrive in Keflavic airport, you will see a duty free on your right hand side. Dont make the same mistake we made, this was for departing flights. Once you go down an escalater, you will see another duty free shop. That's the one for arriving flights. Last time I checked, you could bring 1 liter of spirits, and 12 beers (or 24 beers) per passenger. This is essential, because a lot of girls are looking for a post party drink. So preperation is key. Lastly, if you havent read Roosh's book Bang Iceland, it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Absolutely nailed it!

Great tips man, I've booked my flight already with IcelandAir, now comes the waiting. I leave mid July and am staying for 2 weeks before heading to Europe. I'll do my best to get a trip report in for those curious if anything has changed in Reykjavik scene, and also those interested in exploring the island. I'm planning on renting a car, but prices are very high, I may hold off until I get there and see if I can negotiate. NOTE: If anyone is planning on being in Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia or Serbia this summer hit me up and maybe we can meet up.

What is your schedule for September?

Please drop some data sheets when you hit your destinations.

September is up in the air, no set plans, will either be Serbia, Poland or Slovakia. Was originally planning on checking out Ukraine (I wanted to do a Chernobyl tour) and obviously meet some ladies by pipelining and just going out but have to wait and see.
