I've just come across a review of a hotel I've booked and concerning is that the reviewer said that the hotel charged them for a guest when the room was for 2 persons. Looking at the policy (Attached) it looks like so long as there are two people and one bed then there won't be an issue. The anticipated issue is when I bring a different named guest the following night...
I've had this occur very recently and the hotel pushed my way the form with the guest fee and I pointed out to the hotel that my contract says 2 persons in the room and if they are intending to break the contract to check me out immediately. The hotel said that any risk I would bear myself as if that was the justification for the fee which of course is a sideshow for earning more revenue. The hotel I'm in this time is different due to the higher price of the previous and I'm wondering how to prove to the reception staff who might try it on again that the policy is clear in allowing (any) 2 persons
