Nah - it was the Lennox Lewis/Mike Tyson fight back in 2002. Amazing fight. And I used it as an opportunity to break the association of snacking on junk food and enjoying a big event on TV.

The horizontal axis is mean annual temperature in degrees C.

There is also this study that suggests that thermal comfort of indoor heating contributes to putting on weight.

I doubt any of these factors are significant compared to a clean low-carb diet though.

I lost 50 lbs in 3mos by manipulating non-shivering thermogenesis, I've kept it off for over a year. I submerged myself in water that was 75deg F or less almost every day for at least 20min. Works great, no changes to diet (have always eaten pretty clean though, no candy/fast food), no added exercise or drugs.

This is exactly the reason why it's better to exercise in colder environment. You'r body just uses more energy to keep warm so it has to burn more calories to do that.

.... and for alcohol.

It's bad for you in every environment because you'r body can't really burn fat when the liver is detoxifying alcohol and it has 2nd highest ammount of energy 800 kcal / 100 ml (for pure alcohol) compared to olive oil or butter at 900 kcal / 100 ml.

100 ml = 3,38 fl. oz.

I mean personally I tend to feel leaner during the summertime, and when I'm not working my appetite diminishes. However, if that were universally true, then the South wouldn't have the highest obesity rates in America.
