Girls that tell you they don't need a man on the first date

Her (I assume verbatim) quote: "Yep my mom teached me to never depend on a man."

My response: "Did your mom also teach you the correct use of past tense forms of English verbs?"

That's assuming you want to give the dickish response. Which, sometimes, you just can't pass up the chance to deliver.

If you decide not to go this route, and you really want to try for the (worthless) bang, then just ignore pretty much everything she says.

99.99% of what emanates from her stupid piehole is just pure drivel. You need to constantly remind yourself of this.

Sad, but true.

You first need to establish what your goal is. If you want to get laid, any of the above sarcastic responses will do. But if this statement annoys you to the point of wanting out, here is a good response:

"Yep my mom teached me to never depend on a man."

"And how did life work out for mom? Successful marriage?"

"No, she's a strong single mom, blah blah blah."

"So your goal is to take advice from a failure who couldn't interest a man enough to raise his own kids and copy that. Cool. I'll be sure to take business advice from the homeless."

Be prepared to leave alone after this, but you'll have made the point.

Here's a good general purpose comeback for imbecilic female prating such as this:

"I know"

I always reply "I'm sorry to hear that" and take a sip of my drink.

Always causes an instant hamster explosion and they'll always ask "wh, wh, what do you mean?

To which I'll normally respond "well, everybody needs someone, someone to depend on and someone to want them... it's one of the privileges of life"

I have found this kind of response makes them so maleable and the strong and independent bullshit melts right away. With an alpha frame, this beta-ish response can work wonders.

"The whole point of being alpha, is doing what the fuck you want.
That's why you see real life alphas without chicks. He's doing him.

Real alphas don't tend to have game. They don't tend to care about the emotional lives of the people around them."

What would be your comeback to this? It annoys me to hear this come out of the mouth of cute women.

"Yeah, I know. I used to work for NASA."

Wait for her confused 'wtf' or 'how do you know?' reply, then say:

"Well, we could see your Mom's vibrator collection from Space."

Own it.

I've had similar saying pulled on me. I have on both occasions just laughed and walked out of the bar leaving her alone.

If she turns into a cunt my willingness to please her disappears so for those who plough through to get the notch I tip my hat but I cannot go through with it knowing she believes what she said.

Why exactly does it annoy you? I just read it as a woman trying to make herself feel less vulnerable.

A woman who is telling you she is not comfortable being vulnerable is not worth your time. It's not to do with annoyance, it's about recognizing a deal breaker when you see one.

My 100% natural response would be either "Ok." or "Cool story." I would then proceed to pass over it like it weren't important (because it isn't if you are just looking for a notch).

If I decide by the end of the date to stop all pursuit of this woman, then I would use her words to make her split the bill.

+1 rep for excellent low-blowback strategy.

iknowexactly, excellent wording of utilizing low-blowback strategies to push through for the notch or what have you. In my case I seem to attract women that are strong,independent,career-focused and being with them is a challenge my game likes to have around for the sake of fine-tuning my skills with women overall.

Usually with these women my relationships always dive towards Accelerated Deep Conversion. Maybe its my own way of " making them not so strong, independent, career-focused" as they thought they were. Turning them around seems to be something I've become decent at, sort of like in that thread where 6's just are not cutting it anymore, these simple broads are no longer a challenge and jumping up a tier to the more detached-from-reality broads are a "hobby" of sorts to mess around with while getting my upcoming 30's lifestyle lined up. Here's to fine tuning one's game in a way that suits your personality, mentality and lifestyle.

"mmmm....that's great"

or

"hmmm....that's cool."

said monotone with a glazed far away look in your eyes.

Then,

"so how's your week going so far/ what are your favorite hobbies..."

the direction you're taking after this is probably a bang and you're out....

Comes up ALL THE TIME.

In my experience, impromptu statements about independence are statements of insecurity.

She's worried about something, and you've got an opportunity to explore her weakness even though she thinks she's talking about a strength.

You can of course ignore her statement, and then steer the conversation away from it.

That could show insecurity on your part. Why does it really bother you that she's going out of her way to tell you that she's going to still keep her head up high if you dump her, or when she dumps you?

So I usually encourage the hamster to spin the wheel.

Let her tell you of her bravery, of her ability to "survive". Steer the conversation to her post-relationship independence and figure out how she got fucked and fucked over. She'll lay out exactly how the last guy managed to have her ass up over an Ektorp sofa wearing a French maid outfit.

Whatever you do, don't get snarky.

Sometimes a chick will test you and your reactions by what she says.
More often than not, she isn't consciously trying to trap you, but she will deduct points if you react badly to just about anything.

My 2 cents anyway.

I never pay attention to what women say. Only to their actions.

She say she doesn't need a man, yet she's dating? (actively looking for one).

This is the best and most comprehensive answer to the question.

BeyondBorders and 007 made good comments as well.

It's important to note that women who make comments like this ARE the most easily emotionally compromised. They would likely make good girlfriends if they didn't let the past jade them.

You can go either the full badboy route, but that requires a far more immobile frame.

WIA's way is easier and you'll probably get the booty faster with less drama. It's undoubtedly a broadcast of insecurity on her part to make remarks like that.

CAUTION: Women who pull moves like this are prone to immediately changing speed to gaming you on formalizing the boyfriend route/get soft. That may happen soon as you disarm the "I don't need a man" defense. You may end up in a trap of her trying to hang the booty in the balance if you don't play it right. You know what to do

WIA, can you elaborate further on how you will encourage the hamster? Please provide specific verbal examples on how to encourage the hamster to spin its wheel into the right corner (the bang corner).

Me being honed in on black lizards, I have heard that from time to time although I tend to hear it after the bang which by that time it's too late for the lizard.

My accent does give me an edge in my neck of the woods but I like to angle my pimp to give me an additional angle in case I come up against that sista sista bull.

Cheerz.
