Chest fat

Are you sure you guys have gyno?

I have some chest fat but I'm also around 18% body fat and most of it is around my torso as my arms and legs are rather lean.

Try getting to low teens body fat first?

As I said before, get to a single digit body fat. Gyno doesn't go away when you are lean everywhere else, a perfect example is the steroid induced gynecomastia experienced by bodybuilders.

I am sure there must be more users who have chest fat or gyno so I will make a 'datasheet', based on my own experience.

Firstly, don't be ashamed. I spent my teen years being incredibly insecure, hiding it and scared; it fucked up my teen years avoiding beaches and pictures. You think every one notices and I have been called every name in the book. As you grow up, it doesn't mean anything to you. Shit like this just makes you a stronger person.

The best way to know if you have gyno for sure is by going to a doctor. To do a personal check, push your nipples in and see if there are any hard lumps underneath. Lifting your arms up and looking at your chest will also give you an idea.

Make sure you bodyfat levels are low (sub 17%) for you to make an accurate analysis. I revisited my doctor after thinking it came back but I had just put on too much weight. Losing it saw the chest flatten out as well.

There are exercises (incline bench, barbwire pushups etc.) that can help define your chest and by all means, do them. These won't solve the problem though. Your diet is also crucial during your recovery, get the cauliflower and broccoli in there to combat any estrogen.

The process of having an operation is as such:
First you will do hormonal checks and toxicology tests. Mine turned out fine, it was the soya milk as a child which planted the seed.
After that, your doctor will advise you as to the operation and costs. I was 18 and the minimum age for having it done.

My op costed about $3000 as the hospital bills were covered (connections). Otherwise it should cost $6000 or so (don't quote me on this) for the surgeon fees, anaesthesia, compression vests, hospital fees (they will likely keep you overnight). For me they made 4 incisions under my nipples and drained the fluid and cut out the breast tissue.

The recovery will last about 4 weeks, wearing a compression vest and taking painkillers. It will hurt but it will be worth it, especially for your self-confidence. Make sure to rub your nipples and do all the massaging and recovery techniques; I nearly fucked my nipples up because of this.

Lastly, don't stress if you cannot afford this. Low bodyfat is your ally. You should be aiming to be fit as it is. The operation will help but you will never be completely flat (ironboard chest). Also, talk to your insurance and see if they will cover it, for psychological reasons, not aesthetic.

Let me know if you want me to go over anything or if you need any advice.

Don't ever feel bad, it happens to more people than you think.

Best of luck.

People always underestimate their bodyfat, I know Ive been guilty, especially if you don't have a lot of muscle mass. People also store bodyfat in different places. Most guys store it in the front (think beer gut for fat individuals) however some people store it in more feminine fashion which is the chest area and love handles.

Because these areas are rather small, a 5% reduction in fat can make a huge difference. Im finally a legit 12% and maybe was 18%-20% at my worst (but thought it was like 12-15%). Storing fat in this fashion, Id have a pretty flat stomah from the side but looked horrible from the front.

Now that Im around 12% my chest looks much flatter. I suspect you are the same. Its the same reason I can see people with the hip bones and a beer gut. I dont have defined hips even at 12%.

I saw a dieting blog with a guy that was similar. The last 3-5% loss made a drastic difference since the bf is stored in smaller unsightly areas. From second to last to last, it was like a new person and only a few percentage points.

Bumping this as I have gyno, and want to pursue surgery whenever I can afford it/insurance will cover it.

In the mean time, I am focused on losing weight/body fat.

Chest fat

Had this last year.. changed two aspects and now my chest fat has decreased by 70%:
1) every morning on an empty stomach I took two tablespoon of ACV (with mother) and half teaspoon of baking soda
2) Added cruciferous veggies to my diet (they aid in estrogen control to combat the “man boob”)

I'm pretty sure I have a bit of gyno. How bad is the recovery time?

The thought of not doing weights or working out for even just two weeks is horrifying to me.
